UEFA Europa Conference League Final Betting Odds – Who are the favourites?

Roma are the 5/4 match favourites to land the trophy on Wednesday night* (odds recorded at 23:36 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at 888Sport).

Boss Jose Mourinho has guided the Rome club to just their third major UEFA competition final.

With losses in the 1984 European Cup Final and then the 1991 UEFA Cup Final, will the Italian club get their first major continental trophy?

Jose Mourinho has never lost a European Final and on a personal level, he will be looking to win his third UEFA club competition trophy.

Roma take on the Dutch side Feyenoord who are two time UEFA Cup winners, having claimed that trophy in 1974 and again in 2002.

Before all of that, Feyenoord had won the 1970 European Cup.

So the Eredivisie outfit have a chance to become the first club to win all three major UEFA club competition trophies.

To write that piece of history, Feyenoord will have to shrug off underdog odds of 11/5 in the match outright in UEFA Europa Conference League Final betting* (odds recorded at 23:36 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at 888Sport).

Our betting prediction:
Tammy Abraham First Goalscorer
5/1

  • If Feyenoord win on Wednesday, they will be the first team to have won all three major UEFA tournaments
  • Roma beat Feyenoord 3-2 on aggregate in the 19991 UEFA Cup
  • Jose Mourinho has never lost a UEFA club competition Final
  • Feyenoord’s Cyriel Dressers is the tournament top scorer with 10 goals

Roma v Feyenoord Head to Head

Roma and Feyenoord have only met in European competition on one other occasion. That was in the knockout stages of the 2014/15 UEFA Cup.

The Italian club won that Round of 32 duel 3-2 on aggregate, a 2-1 second-leg success on the road sealing the deal.

Roma’s Road to the Final

Roma’s road to the UEFA Europa Conference League Final started in the playoff round when the Giallorossi faced Trabzonspor.

Roma comfortably won that tie 5-1 on aggregate.

In the Group Stage, Roma faced CSKA Sofia, Zorya and Bodo Glimt.

They won Group C with a W4 D1 L1 record, scoring 18 goals and conceding 11.

They edged Vitesse in the Round of 16 by one goal on aggregate.

The Italians then made their way past Bodo/Glimt in the quarter-final.

Roma lost away at Bodo/Glimt in that tie, as they had done when they had visited them in the group stage.

Across their entire UEFA Europa Conference League Final campaign, the only two losses that Roma have suffered were at Bodo/Glimt.

In the semi finals of the competition, Roma claimed a 2-1 aggregate win over English Premier League Leicester.

The Giallorossi are a fairly direct side, getting the ball from front to back as quickly as possible.

Striker Tammy Abraham has had a terrific season up front for Roma.

The forward is 5/1 First Goalscorer favourite in the football betting odds* (odds recorded at 23:36 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at 888Sport). He’s netted nine times in the competition.

Feyenoord’s Road to the Final.

Dutch club Feyenoord have had an even longer journey to the UEFA Europa Conference League Final than Roma.

They worked their way through three qualification rounds just to get to the Group Stage of the competition.

So it was a long trek for them which started in mid-July last year.

It was a powerful campaign that they put together, however.

An away loss at Elfsborg in the playoff round (after Feyenoord had won the first leg 5-0) is the only loss that Feyenoord have suffered in this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League.

So since they hit the group stage they have posted a tremendous W8 D4 record in the main draw of things.

Feyenoord haven’t been short of goals either.

They have scored at least two goals in 10 of their last eleven matches in the competitions.

Feyenoord have scored at least three in five of their last six.

In the semi-finals, they made it past the French side Marseille 6-3 on aggregate thanks to a mix of dynamic attacking play and sturdy defence.

Feyenoord’s Cyriel Dessers is the tournament’s top scorer with ten goals this season.
