The race favourite for this chase vacation at Warwick on Monday is TEMPLEPARK at 5/2* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:58 GMT Sunday, 20th September 2020).

It has been stellar form from him so far this season, winning two of four runs this season.

He landed a couple of novice hurdle wins at Newton Abbot recently and so looks ready for more.

On his last trip, he was second over the fences at the same venue and ran very well there. Notably, that was at the same mark as he will be at for Monday, so he has to be on the shortlist.

THE BAY BIRCH is an interesting contender in this field as she is coming back into action for the first time for over six months.

She is a former course winner and was knocking around in some really good company last year. What will she be able to come up with on the day?

ATLANTIC STORM doesn’t look to be too far from a win. He has scored a runners up spot in each of his last three runs now, so he has been knocking on the door.

While this is a bigger trip for him, he is interesting enough to keep on side. It’s likely with that kind of consistency that he will be in the frame.

This sprint features the in-form INDIAN SOUNDS at the head of the market at 11/8 and he’s a strong favourite* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:58 GMT Sunday, 20th September 2020).

Oisin Murphy will be in the saddle and with three wins in his last four runs, Indian Sounds is hot right now.

His most recent victory came just five days ago when he powered clear of the field by four lengths, beating the re-opposing NORTH WIND.

He will have a 5lb penalty to deal with in this one, but he has to be kept on side because he is thriving at the moment.

Naturally, we have to put NORTH WIND into the picture in this one after his failure against Indian Sounds at Beverley last week.

He is the leading threat to the favourite again in this one but we don’t see him reversing the form.

North Wind has finished second on his last two runs and hasn’t won since 2018. The only there here is a big weight advantage over his rival, which could see him close the gap.

ROSE HIP looks a decent prospect to land herself into the places as well. She produced a win at Ascot in her penultimate race. S

he then followed that up with a fifth-place back at the same venue, just over a couple of weeks ago. She’s likely to go well again.

Race Favourite

This is a race for veterans and it is NIETZCHE who is the 5/2 favourite for it* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:58 GMT Sunday, 20th September 2020). He made a return after 10 months away a couple of weeks ago.

He posted fourth of 11 at York under handicap terms and that shows some good signs. So with that good flat run under his belt, he has to be kept on the shortlist for this one.

AKAMANTO rediscovered a good bit of form last time out. That was at Musselburgh when he posted a second-place finish over a 14f trip.

That was 9 days ago and he will be given a good run again by jockey Paddy Mathers, and Akamanto stays at the same mark for this. He will be our pick.

DAAWY is coming down in both class and trip for this fixture. It comes after having recorded a fourth-place finish at Chester.

He got off to a slow start in that one and there could be more to come from him. He hasn’t won since 2018 but is the consistent sort.

RODRIGO DIAZ is the 4/6 favourite for this mid-distance trip* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:58 GMT Sunday, 20th September 2020). He is sitting on a hattrick currently after some impressive recent form.

He delivered a career-best win three weeks ago on his last run at Kempton. He had plenty left in him in that one as well. He is coming up in trip, but looks to be the one to beat and he has been thriving under handicap conditions.

SASHENKA appears to be the biggest threat to the favourite in this fixture. She is going to deal with an increase of 4lb but has some serious claims here.

At Chelmsford on his last trip, he scored over this distance. It’s likely that she is going to be in the picture here if she can touch upon that kind of form again.

KESARINA is the 2/1 favourite for this trip on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:58 GMT Sunday, 20th September 2020).

On her last run she took on this trip for the first time and the Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly looks the pick here.

That last run from her was 40 days and it was all too easy for her. She comes on to the Tapeta for the first time in this one and should have more to come after a very good summer. She’s right on the shortlist for this one.

DURRELL was last seen at Chelmsford City just under three weeks ago. He is coming back up in trip for this one.

He has been sliding down the weights a bit so he wasn’t far behind the winner in that Chelmsford trip. So he has the appeal to push well in this one.

The other pick would have to be HOOFLEPOOF who scored at course and distance in February. He hasn’t been anywhere near that kind of form since that.

That was, incidentally the third course and distance winner that he has recorded. It will be interesting to see what he does back at the venue.
