This is Sunday’s UK racing odds, tips & preview feature where we take a look around the cards of the day to bring our top picks together.

The day’s racing action comes for this preview is pulled from Aintree, Hexham and Wincanton.

After the big action at Cheltenham in the previous two days, there are calmer waters around, but the big feature of the day is the Grade 2 Old Roan Limited Handicap Chase from Aintree.

So here is the top UK racing action from Sunday, 25th October 2020.

We will start the day of racing action with a look at this veteran’s contest at Aintree. SAMETEGAL is the current 7/2 market leader* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

It looks like a wide open field though. He will be coming back from a lengthy absence.

But last season when he returned from a long break, Sametegal was in the frame in each of his first three runs. Trained by Paul Nicholls, Samtegal appears for an in-form stable.

Sametegal rounded off last season with a third place finish in a Grade 3 contest. He looks to be a threat in this field.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

DON POLI is a class act, having scored some big wins in his career, including the RSA Chase and locking down a place in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

This will be his first run for Dan Skelton and he has been over course and distance before.

The last time was in 2016 when he was only beaten out by Cue Card on the day. He has to be in contention.

MINELLACELEBRATION looks to be another obvious pick for this veterans run. He is a former course and distance winner.

On top of that he won at Uttoxeter back in July and he is only carrying an extra 1lb from that run.

That fairly recent run is something that other key players in the field haven’t had. So he should feature.

The race favourite for this Limited Handicap Chase at Aintree is ITCHY FEET at 9/4* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

On his last trip he unseated his rider, which was at the Cheltenham Festival back in March.

ITCHY FEET was a fair hurdler and he was coming on very nicely over the fences last term as well. That included nailing a Grade 1 contest.

He is on a good mark here for this handicap effort. We would expect him to be fully in the picture.

MIDNIGHT SHADOW has the making of being a big player in this fixture as well. In the Scilly Isles at Sandown last season, he was second to Itchy Feet.

However, Midnight Shadow is 5lb better off now as he re-opposes. He is also sitting on a good mark from where he can look to turn the tables on that particular foe as well.

Midnight Shadow has to be worth considerations at 15/2* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

OLDGRANGEWOOD is another likely big challenger for this exciting race. He came on well after a wind operation last season.

He scored a couple of handicap wins, notably in a Grade 3 at Cheltenham. His last run was in a 2m 5f handicap chase at Cheltenham in March.

Oldgrangewood was fourth there, missing out on completing a hattrick, but refreshed is one to watch.

The market leader for this small field is MANOFTHEMOUTANIN at 10/11* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

But this is a quick turnaround as he was in action at Cheltenham on Saturday.

He took fourth there, not really producing his best. But that’s 4 wins from 5 trips over the fences now. The recent run at Cheltenham followed a score at Bangor on his reappearance.

This is an easier fixture for him, however that battle at Cheltenham on Saturday was not an easy one.

Because of the quick turnaround for Manofthemountian, preference has to go to WORTHY FARM at 13/8* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

Last season he won a couple of times here at Wincanton across similar distances. This will be his reappearance run for the season.

Worthy Farm didn’t quite deliver at Doncaster when signing off for the last campaign. But the extra trip here and being refreshed should help him out.

It would be a surprise if either STEP BACK or BEAU DU BRIZAIS came up with enough to get the job done in this contest.

The current leader for this handicap hurdle is CLEVER AS A FOX at 5/1* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

He steps back into action looking to complete a hattrick.

It has been excellent stuff from him since coming in to handicap. He is up 10lb from his last run, which was a score at Perth.

That was in July and it was a pretty facile success as well. With strong progression over the summer, he has to be worth big considerations.

MONTE CRISTO looks likely to play a leading role in this contest as well. He signed off last season with a good score at Newbury in February.

The four year old won two of his final three runs of the season. Trained by Nicky Henderson, there is likely going to be a sizeable step forward here and he goes off a very competitive mark.

The other that will make it to our shortlist is STRONG GLANCE who has had a nice repparance run.

He got off the mark in handicapping at the first attempt, which was back in January. Strong Glance made his reappearance for this season at Market Rasen where he was 3rd placed in a field of 12 at 16/1.

That was over the hurdles and he needs to be respected.

AIN’T MY FAULT is heading up the market for this contest, the last of our Sunday racing preview.

He is currently sat at 10/3* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

He will get the cheek pieces on in this one for the first time as he looks to sharpen up. Ain’t My Fault was in great nick last time out however, taking a place finish in a Perth handicap.

Ain’t My Fault has shown a lot of consistency in his game, and gets a 3lb claimer on his back as well. He should be in the mix.

GLORIOUS LADY just takes preference as well. She has been producing such fine form over the hurdles, that’s why.

She made her appearance recently here at Hexham and was travelling very well for a long time.

It was a sixth place finish that she ended up with.

But she looks as if she has a lot to offer in chasing and ticks some boxes at 5/1* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 24th October 2020).

The final selection for the shortlist is SAO. He was out over course and distance earlier this month.

SAO didn’t get his pace right though, going off far too quickly. He is down 2lb after that fourth place finish.

But he was in touch at the last despite burning a lot of unnecessary energy early on. A steady race, and he could feature.
