We will kick off the day’s racing with a small field in this Ludlow hurdle. It is VALLERES who is the 5/4 FAV for the contest* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

The point winner made a big impact on his first go under rules, scoring in a Wetherby novice hurdle.

He had plenty in the tank as well in that win, so more will be expected from him. It was a win on his debut that he delivered that point success.

Following that last season he was third in a very strong Kempton bumper. He is going in the right direction.

This should be a really good contest and THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE is the other obvious selection. He made an appearance last month for Paul Nicholls and scored at Lingfield.

He looked very good for it as that trip was three weeks ago. It’s likely that the extra trip that is on offer in this one will play to his strengths well.

PONTRESINA is the current 5/2 market leader for this handicap chase action* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

He recently returned to top form with a very good score at Kempton a month ago.

That was on a 2m trip and he looks to have taken well enough to chasing now to make a good fist of this next trip.

That Kempton win was his second start over the fences, having been disqualified at Fontwell on his first attempt.

There is an extra 4lb in the rating for Pontresina to take on, but still he carries plenty of appeal in horse racing betting.

The other big player to enter calculations is IRISH PROPHECY who is heading in the right direction. He has actually put together some confident form and rattled the crossbar last time out.

He was second at Exeter to El Presente who in turn went on to win the Badger Beers Silver Trophy. That Exeter run was on a 3m trip and was the first time for him in cheekpieces, which he retains.

LOOKSNOWTLIKEBRIAN will be the other selectoin for this contest’s shortlist. He has really yet to settle down as a great consistent jumper, but potential is there.

He was third at Carlisle last time out, putting together a fairly clean jumping performance a month ago. If he can push on from that, then Looksnowtlikebrian could get into the frame.

There is clear favouritism for TOMORROW MYSTERY at 4/9 in this contest* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

She is the one that sets the standard here after carding a win on her recent reappearance run.

Tomorrow Mystery signed off last season with back to back wins and has picked up where she left off for Paul Nicholls.

Her latest score was just a week ago in a 2m Newbury Handicap and she was powering away at the finish.

He has managed to not take on a penalty either.  Tomorrow Mystery is the one to beat.

ROBINSHILL will have a chance to get close to Paul Nicholls’ mare. There was a very pleasing return to action from him three weeks ago.

That was in a 2m trip at Ludlow, scoring well under rules. For that win he is going up 5lb in the rating, offset by a 5lb claimer on his back.

He needs plenty of respect in this contest and should be about there.

Robins Hill is the obvious 13/2 pick to take on the favourite with* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

While SHIROCCAN ROLL is in form, we are looking at THAHAB IFRAJ as our other selection for this contest.

He is a 10/1 shot and well worth a look we feel* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

Thahab Ifraj blew away average form to shrug off 66/1 odds to score last month in a Wincanton handicap. He is up 2lb and just intriguing.

DON LAMI is the current 15/8 favourite for this handicap chase action at Ludlow* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

Almost a year ago Don Lami went into chase action for the first time and scored at Taunton.

He hasn’t been seen since then so will have to defy a lengthy absence here. He will be wearing the tongue tie for the first time.

That win at Taunton on his chase debut did surprise a lot of people and he continuously jumped left on the trip, making things harder for himself.

Don Lami comes for a yard that’s in form and makes a very interesting competitor on his return.

CHECKITOUT made his chase debut just last month.

So that repparance run effort to sharpen him up, is something that will make us lean towards him at 2/1* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

It was a fifth place finish for Checkitout on that debut but he was by no means disgraced in the effort.

The extra distance here is probably going to bring more out of him and he will be out for just the second time after wind surgery.

FORGOT TO ASK is the other selection here. He gets the tongue tie on for this trip again and will be looking to build on a win at Ffos Las over the fences in the summer of 2019.

He has struggled for consistency since then. But on his seasonal return recently at Wincanton, Forgot To Ask showed a lot of promise by taking a third. It was something to build on.

This looks like a good contest and it is BOBMAHLEY 10/3* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

The switch to chasing looks to have been the right move for the Tim Vaughan-trained Bobmahley.

Last time out he was in chase action at Stratford and despite not ever being in a great position, he stayed on brilliantly to take a third place finish.

He is coming up in trip here and is likely to deliver enough improvement to get himself close to the win.

LORD BRENDY is the pick for us however at 11/2* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

Eight months ago he put in an excellent run at course and distance to get himself a second place finish. The one he has been beaten by has since gone on to win again.

Lord Brendy is still at the same rating, but has a 7lb claimer.

EVENT OF SIVOLA could be a player if he can prove his stamina over this trip. He was a third place finisher at Hexham last time out, his second run of the new season.

It has been little more than average form from Event Of Sivola in the UK, but the French runner impressed on that last run and could get up. He definitely carries place claims.

POWER OF STATES is the 2/1 favourite for this final fixture of our Thursday racing preview* (betting odds taken from Coral at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday, 11th November 2020).

He will be looking to complete the double as he gets the visor on for the first time.

It was a course and distance win just over a month ago for Power Of States, shrugging off a bit of poor positioning in the race to get that.

That’s two wins and a second place finish in his last three runs at Chelmsford City.

So Power Of States should go well again here, and despite a 4lb rise looks to carry a big threat.

AIM FOR THE STARS is coming into the handicap realm for the first time in this one. On his third race, the youngster got himself off the mark.

She benefited well from an extra trip at Wolverhampton a month ago to get off the mark at the third time of asking.
