The current race favourite at 4/1 for this chasing fixture is TEMPLEHILLS* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Wednesday 28th October 2020).

He put a win on the board in his last effort. That success was 12 days ago here at Stratford.

He was helped out by having fallen down the weights. Templehills took on his first run back for a former yard there as well.

Templehills will be taking on an extra 8lb in the ratings for this one, but is carrying a 7lb claimer. He looks to in a positive frame of mind having scored from that career-low mark last time out.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

Another of the key players in this field is likely to be MYSTICAL CLOUDS. This will be his reappearance run. The last effort he had was at Kempton in February, in which he delivered a score.

Mystical Clouds got the better of Aintree My Dream in that contest. He is only up 4lb in the ratings which seems pretty fair.

He will be making a debut for his new yard here too and if nicely refreshed, should be in the frame.

AINTREE MY DREAM took a second place finish on his reappearance run at Fontwell this month. He was edged in that one by Imperial Presence in chase action.

To round off last season he was in the frame as well when he found only Mystical Clouds too good at Kempton.

He doesn’t look too far away from picking up a win as he has been in the frame in his two trips this season.

After a long break he scored a second and then a third place finish in Doncaster handicaps. It’s been a big action that he has been in and he is lightly raced still.

We would expect to see him knocking on the door in the fixture.

OH THIS IS US is our top pick for this contest at 9/2 however* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Wednesday 28th October 2020).

Last month he picked up a win at Chelmsford after coming back to the 7f distance. Oh This Is Us also has Ryan Moore booked for this one and is up 4lb in the ratings.

Being a former course winner, Oh This Is Us checks plenty of boxes.

DOCUMENTING will claim 5lb for jockey Ray Dawson and the former course and distance winner has a shout.

He missed out on the chance at a hat-trick on his last run, going poorly at Newmarket. That was about a month ago, but that is likely to be shrugged off.

Heading up the market for this one is CLOAK OF SPIRITS at 5/4* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Wednesday 28th October 2020).

It has been a steady old campaign from the Richard Hannon-trained Cloak of Spirits.

She is making her all-weather debut here as he shows up in Listed company once again. She impressed again on her last run, which was the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket at Group 1.

That was just shy of a month ago and Cloak Of Spirits found only one too good in that.

With a 1000 Guineas runners up spot under her belt as well, she looks to be the one that sets the standard. There are serious claims.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

We think that a recent reappearance run for UMMALNAR is going to see her pull into the picture.

She was eighth in that repparance, nothing special but it had been 15 months that she’d gotten some competitive wind in her lungs. She wasn’t very well placed in the race either.

But she knows how to win and has done so before at 1m on Polytrack. She’s one to watch in the market.

We are going to go sort of the same route for our next pick. That is the unexposed SOFFIKA. She had her last run, also her reappearance in June at Royal Ascot.

That was in the Sandrigham handicap and finished in the middle of the pack. With Ryan Moore helping her and we are expecting plenty of progress from the filly.

It has been just under a year since the mare was last seen. During that time away she has had wind surgery.

She hasn’t been hit hard by the assessor for her return and if she’s sharp and anything like on top of her ability, Momella can feature.

She was rated 142 over the hurdles and comes in at 127 for Thursday. Plus she’s carrying a 5lb claimer.

Her last race, 11 months ago, saw Momella claim a second place finish on what was her chasing debut. She’s a very interesting contender.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

KILLER CLOWN didn’t get a chance to shine on his repaprance run this season. His rider was unseated early on at Uttoxeter. That was his chasing debut earlier this month.

We think that he is well worth another look because he ditched his rider after being hampered. So he did nothing wrong. Killer Clown does look as if he has a strong chasing career ahead.

The other pick for the race is going to be ARIAN who will be appearing for the first time for Phillip Hobbs. She really should have scored on her final run of the last campaign.

That was at Ffos Las 7 months ago, but she fell with the win in sight. But coming on from a good hurdles campaign, it will be interesting to see how she goes in chasing for Hobbs.

On her last run she claimed a third place finish at Leopardstown behind winner Amma Grace.

That was also a Listed trip that she had on that one. This is a quick turnaround for her now because that was only five days ago.

Trainer Aiden O’Brien won this contest last year with Delphina. We expect ElizabethofAragon to be in the frame.

She’s an obvious threat at this level, but by the same token we do see value in taking her on.

Our pick will be SORRELL who is just getting better and better at a rate of knots. She is sitting on a hattrick now after some top form.

The last score that she got under her belt was at Doncaster 48 days ago. This is a bigger field though, but she was more than comfortable getting the win at the line.

We can only assume that there is a lot more to come from her at this distance. She looks the pick to take at 4/1* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:37 GMT on Wednesday 28th October 2020).

TULIP FIELDS will probably have a shot at this one as she takes on further distance as well. She is another that has delivered some cracking from this season, winning half of her six trips.

5 days ago she delivered a win at Doncaster in a 9-runner handicap. She was keeping on well there and even though this is a quick turnaround, Tulip Fields warrants respect.

He does have a fairly recent win under his belt, having scored at Beverley in August.

On his last run he showed his quality once again. Harry Love took an excellent second place finish at Wolverhampton just over a couple of weeks ago.

He jumps into his Polytrack debut here, but looks to be well worth some heavy consideration.

This is not the strongest of fields, but EAGLE CREEK does have some appeal. He is dropping through the ratings as he struggles for form.

He’s going to hit a nice mark soon if that continues. He could be already there. Eagle Creek was last seen battling in better company at Kempton a month ago.

But that was back to back decent efforts that he has put in.

LOVE DREAMS is a former course and distance winner. He is taking a drop in trip in this one, which puts him right on the radar.

His last effort was a very credible sixth place finish in a field of 15. That was in a Goodwood handicap.
