Race Favourite

The favourite for Race 5 from Wolverhampton on Tuesday is THUMUR at 6/4* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:41 GMT on Monday, 10th August 2020).

This will be his fourth racetrack appearance now and it is his handicap debut.

He put in some good progressive work on his latest run which was at York. Based on the evidence of that race, Thumur does look as if he has more trip in him.

Coming into this first handicap experience at a mark of 81 gives him plenty of strong claims.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

UNION comes up in trip for this one and he has been putting down some nice form that warrants some respect.

He scored a win in January on the Tapeta and has gone close a couple of times since then. Union landed a fourth place finish on his last run, a 10f handicap almost three weeks ago.

COLONZIE collected a third at Windsor on his last run. That was a good effort as well with a solid finish there.

He will get the cheek pieces on for the first time in this one and the colt could take another step forward. He looks suited to coming back up in trip as he makes what will be his Tapeta debut.

Race Favourite

LEONCAVALLO is the current 9/4 favourite for this Haydock trip* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:41 GMT on Monday, 10th August 2020).

This is the first season that he has been back on the flat since an effort in late 2016.

He had a recent effort at Stratford in a novice event which he won easily.

Leoncavallo returned to action in mid-June scoring a very good second place at Sandown on his first trip for a new yard. He should be solid enough coming back to the flat.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

A lot of the runners here have some very questionable claims. But GRANDEE brings a nice bit of form to the table.

He scored a second place at Ripon just under three weeks ago and he stays at the same mark of 84 for this run.

He has not won since 2019 however, a sequence of thirteen starts. But the place claims are there in a relatively weak field.

The exciting OTTONIAN may be in the frame in this one. He is going into just his fourth racetrack appearance now.

Ottonian won his first two starts for Charlie Appleby, and then after three years away, reappeared in early July this year for a new yard and took 4th of 8 in a York Handicap.

It’s a big field so we will pull in one more name which is PAST MASTER. He looks well suited to the drop back to the 1m 6f distance.

Last time out he was taking on a 2m trip in November at Kempton and he faded away in that one. It’s a long absence but nailed a 14f success at Goodwood a year ago.

Race Favourite

CRAIGMOR is currently heading up the market for this Perth Handicap Hurdle to the tune of 2/1* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:41 GMT on Monday, 10th August 2020).

It’s hard to argue with his form and he scored after a 14 month layoff in July.

That was a Market Rasen handicap hurdle success that he took on his return and has big claims in this one.

Each of the last five races that he has completed (pulled up once) Craigmor has won. Olly Murphy’s gelding looks to be the pick of the bunch here.

He does have to contend with a 5lb rise for his recent success and looks in prime shape over the hurdles at the moment.

As long as the ground stays good or better, he is going to take some stopping if in top form.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CHOCOLAT NOIR should have some claims here and she has nailed a course and distance success before.

She was in ripe form last summer and she will be heading to Perth on Tuesday looking for a double.

Chocolat Noir scored at Cartmel over a 22f trip recently. She comes up 4lb but she looks as if she can be in the picture as a leading contender.

Gelding PETITE GANACHE is another that we will keep on side for this contest as well. He scored a win on his last trip, which was back in January.

That was a massive seven and a half furlong victory as well that Petite Ganache took at Musselburgh.

He’s not always the most settled and focused of runners, but off a fair mark of 110 he has to enter calculations.

We have TINTORETTO as the current 10/3 favourite for Race 7 from Lingfield on Tuesday* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:41 GMT on Monday, 10th August 2020).

He has enjoyed a good season with a couple of wins on the board.

On his last effort Tintoretto produced an excellent fourth place finish at York in a field of 12 at the 7f distance as well.

That was a couple of weeks ago and just going on what he has produced this season, he looks to have a fair shout at edging towards another score.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

ROYAL DYNASTY is 2lb down from her recent third place finish at Newmarket and therefore she has to be in the picture here.

She has produced such a wonderful season, winning three of her six runs and not finishing outside of the places on any of them.

The progressive horse that beat her to score at Newmarket has gone on since to win.

ALNASEEM has produced some fine worth this season as well. She was last seen at Ascot positing a fourth place finish from a field of 12 over 8f.

It’s unlikely the drop back in trip is going to bother her too much. It looks a sound enough move and has received a nice draw as well. The polytrack could bring an extra step out of her.

One more name for this big field is BLAME CULTURE who was shaping well at Sandown on his last run.

He took sixth place there from a field of 14 but was hampered a bit by traffic along the way. Prior to that he took back to back runner-up finishes.

Blame Cultures a 13lb riser now on his return to the all-weather, but looks to be sitting on a reasonable mark to stake a claim.

Race Favourite

Lining up as the current favourite for Race 7 from Perth on Tuesday is FORECAST at 11/4* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:41 GMT on Monday, 10th August 2020).

He has plenty of winning experience over the hurdles behind him, but has been thrown into facing the fences on his last couple of trips.

They were relatively successful as well claiming third place finishes in both. The most recent of those was on a debut for his new yard as well.

Plenty of development still to come as a chaser and he looks to have some strong, leading claims in this one. This will be his first handicap trial and he hasn’t been harshly treated for it either.

BOY’S ON TOUR stays at the same mark when he landed a second place finish on his last trip. There was over course and distance as well, and he did have Monsieur Co back in fourth place behind him.

Boy’s On Tour has gone over the fences seven times before at Perth and has been in the top-two in each of those. It’s some leading claims he brings from a 4/1 quote* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:41 GMT on Monday, 10th August 2020).

CRACKING DESTINY finished last season in fine style and across the course of the season, he won three times last year.

He was out over the fences on his last run in a novice event and he collected a fourth place finish. He was under penalty as well for that run.

Cracking Destiny enters this Perth contest on a very workable mark and can pose a progressive threat.
