Unusual Bets Terms and Conditions

The Small Print, again.

I am forever telling people to read the small print. This especially applies to unusual bets. I noticed a report in my local newspaper recently where one of the BIG SIX were once again refusing to pay out on a “successful” wager.

A small consortium of building workers asked for a price on Liverpool to sign Naby Keita before the “window” closed. The bet was accepted for a stake of £400. The day after the signing the builders proffered their receipt. You can guess the rest. They were refused payment. They hadn’t read the conditions relating to this specific bet.
Evidently the Bookmaker must have had some sort of knowledge regarding the transfer. They said the player had to be free to be included in Liverpool’s squad on September 1st. Not something I or many thousands of other punters would have thought about.

Always remember, the LAYERS have all the advantages. Up to now I can’t find any evidence that they have had a change of heart. Or even given the builders their stake money back.

Always read the rules and conditions which are published. Especially for any unusual bets.
Bet Carefully.
