On to another big day of US racing action on Saturday. We are back at Santa Anita for this preview. The big race of the day there is the Honeymoon Stakes which we will take a good look at in this preview.

OH PRETTY WOMAN is the forecast favourite at 2/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:01 GMT on Friday, 29th May 2020). She was second on her last trip at Santa Anita in March. She was really ticking along nicely and scored in a 1m at the venue in mid-February. She’ll be fresh and sharp after a 70 day break.
Tips
WARRIOR’S MOON has not managed to score since breaking her maiden in October. She was out of the places after a 92 day break. Looking back at the California Oaks in mid-January she finished behind California Kook.
CALIFORNIA KOOK claimed third in the California Oaks in her last trip which was in mid-January. So she has been away from the track for 133 days. She had a run in the middle of May but was nowhere near in the frame, but that was after a 3 month lay off. It could have sharpened her up a little bit.

Race 3: This is a straight claimer on the fast dirt over a 1m trip. This is open to 3 year olds and above with 6 declared to run. The winner takes home just under $14k.
Race Favourite
PAIGE RUNNER looks a good fit for being the 2/1 forecast favourite* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:01 GMT on Friday, 29th May 2020). On her last trip she was fourth of sixth at the venue at the beginning of March in an allowance optional claimer. This is a drop in grade for her and should easily be in the picture.
Tips
Of the contenders to note, SAMANDAH has some appeal at a 7/2 forecast* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:01 GMT on Friday, 29th May 2020). The filly comes back after a 99 day break, in which she recorded 3rd of 5th at the track in late February. It’s been one win from four on the all weather. She’s one to respect.
3 year old filly DESTINY’S JOURNEY is another to note, with one win from five efforts on the dirt. Her last race was right at the end of February under tougher conditions than this one. She’s a consistent runner and is rarely away from the places. The drop in grade should suit her well in this contest.

Race 6: This is an allowance optional claimer which is open to 3 year olds and above. It is a small field with just the 5 declared. It’s a 7f trip on the fast dirt with the winner set to take $32k.
Race Favourite
ETERNAL ENDEAVOUR is the 8/5 forecast favourite* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:01 GMT on Friday, 29th May 2020). The British runner has won three times from 6f to 1m. On her last trip she was fourth of sixth which was at a longer 1m 1f trip.
She wouldn’t be winning out of turn, as she’s the highest rated runner in the field and has been knocking on the door.
Tips
SHE’S A DIME could mount a threat to the favourite. She has been the model of consistency not having been outside of the top three in any of her last four, scoring twice in that sequence.
She is a progressive horse and a third place in early May at Oaklawn will only have sharpened her up after a three-month lay off.
The other one to note in the fixture would be 4 year old filly RATHER NOSY. She is back from a 76 day break following a second place under allowance optional terms at the venue. This is just about in her wheelhouse and could spring a surprise.

This is the Honeymoon Stakes at Grade 3. This is on the turf under fast going and it is open to 3 year olds only. The distance is at 1m 1f and there are 9 declared.
Race Favourite
The forecast race favourite is Irish import STELA STAR at 2/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:01 GMT on Friday, 29th May 2020). There was a second place finish from her in a tough scrap against Warren’s Showtime at the venue in March.
That was her US debut. Stela Star has scored once before on the turf and comes in with a good chance of taking the win following an 84 day break.
Tips
PARKOUR scored in her last effort which was an allowance optional claimer towards the end of March. That success came in a big field of 11 at Santa Anita and that should set her up well for this contest.
It was certainly impressive enough to warrant giving her respect and that was the second win in her last three runs.
There are a few looking for form in this field, but LAURA’S LIGHT is not one of them. She is back from a 104 day break and she does so on a hattrick. In fact, it has been three wins in four trips, two of those on the turf. She belongs amid strong Stakes company at this grade and can impact.
