Some people may see System Bets as an enhanced accumulator.

What is the basic difference between a System Bet and an Accumualtor?
In an accumulator, you need all selections of your wager to win in order to return profit. In a System Bet, not all the selections that build the bet actually need to win.

You may have heard famous betting expressions such as a Lucky 15, a Yankee, a Trixie or a Canadian. These are some of the most popular forms of System Bets and while you may be thinking that it sounds a bit confusing to try and calculate just what you are going to get in return for your stake, it’s not that difficult.

It’s not difficult, however it can be a bit cumbersome and time consuming, especially if you are building a big System Bet. But you can always save yourself a lot of time by using our System Bet Calculator.

System Bet Options Explained
The System Bet Calculator will bring up lots of permutation options, so let’s explain further the difference between a 2/4 and a 3/4 System Bet as an example.

2/4 System Bet
Number of Selections: 4 (A, B, C, D)
Bets: six 2-pick multis (AB, AC, AD, BC, BD, CD)
Minimum win: At least 2 of the 4 selections are needed

3/4 System Bet
Number of Selections: 4 (A, B, C, D)
Bets: Four 3-pick multis (ABC, BCD, ACD, BAD)
Minimum win: At least 3 of the 4 selections are needed

So, looking at a bigger System Bet, a 5/8 would need eight selections and from that there will be be fifty-six 5-pick multis) and the minimum that you would need to see some kind of return would be five of your eight selections to win. So there you see the value between a System Bet and an Accumulator.

  1. Selecting Your System
The first step on using the calculator is deciding what System Bet that you want to use. From the drop down menu, select which system that you are betting on. There are options like 2 from 4, 3 from 4, 3 from 5, 4 from 5 and so on. A simple explanation here is that the second number is how many selections that you will need for the bet. The first number is the volume of the x-pick multis in the bet, or the minimum number of selections that you need to win in order to get a return. You will likely have some selections in mind and know the range of bet that you are looking for.
