It is Victoria Azarenka v Ni La betting for the final of the Australian Open in the women’s draw. The world number one Azarenka, blitzed through her opening set against young American Sloane Stephens, the conqueror of Serena Williams. The experience and power of the Belarusian combined to have too much class for the youngster, who was in her first Grand Slam semi final. But to her credit, Stephens fought back well in the second set, but Azarenka held off the late surge from Stephens and remarkably Azarenka wasted five match points at 5-3 up, all through unforced errors. It didn’t matter as she went on to close out for a 6-4 in the second set to book her place in the final. Azarenka is now favourite in the Australian Open final betting, as she looks to defend the title she won here last year against Maria Sharapova.

As for the Russian, she bowed out of the semi finals in disappointing fashion against China’s Na Li. Sharapova, despite just dropping nine games on her way to the semis, just couldn’t get going. Being broken in the opening game, the 2011 runner up Na Li just powered away to the first set. It was a similar story in the second as Sharapova never really looked comfortable or settled, with Na Li’s low hitting taking her all over the court. Despite Sharapova having a strong head to head against Na Li from previous meetings, she was totally out played and overpowered. So it is the second Australian Open final in three seasons now for Na Li, whose form was always likely to put her in with a shot. Na Li has lost just one game since the start of the season and is looking to have vastly improved her consistency under her new coach.

Victoria Azarenka v Na Li Australian Open Final tennis betting is going to be a heavy hitting duel. It is the Belarusian who leads the head to head 5-4 and has won all four of their last meetings. The last triumph that Na Li scored interestingly over Azarenka, was at the 2011 Australian Open on her way to the final. Na Li holds a 2-0 match record over Azarenka in Grand Slams.
