Wales v Croatia Predictions & Betting Odds – 13th October 2019

Honours even in the Welsh capital

Wales v Croatia Betting Tips – UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifier, 13th October 19.45pm

Ryan Giggs Wales welcome Zlatko Dalic’s Croatia to the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday night for a vital UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier. The Croatians are top of the group at present, picking up 13 points from six matches. Although the Dragons have played a game less, Giggs’ side are six points behind, so they could really do with all three points in Cardiff at the weekend. However, Croatia head to the Welsh capital as the 6/4 favourites.

Wales News and Form – Can the Dragons pick up a priceless win on home soil?

Wales have made hard work of qualifying so far, winning just two of their opening five matches. The Dragons started with a vital 1-0 home win over Slovakia, but they have taken four points from their last four qualifiers since, losing twice along the way.

Kieffer Moore gave Wales a 1-0 lead at the Anton Malatinsky Stadium in Trnava on Thursday, but Juraj Kucka’s goal shortly after half time earned Slovakia a share of the spoils. Although it was not a disastrous result for the Welsh, Giggs’ side really could have done with maximum points in Slovakia.

Wales have left themselves with plenty of work to do in Group E, but qualification to the Euro 2020 is still very much within reach. Victory for the Dragons on Sunday night in Cardiff will blow this group wide open, especially as Wales will still have a game in hand on some of their rivals.

Croatia News and Form – Will the Blazers leave Cardiff with a crucial three points?

Croatia had a FIFA World Cup to remember in Russia last year, eventually finishing runners-up after reaching the final. However, they got their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign off to a slow start, losing 2-1 in Hungary in round two.

Since that shock defeat in Budapest in March, the Croatians have taken ten points from their last four Group E fixtures. Last Thursday, Zlatko Dalic’s men cemented their place at the top with a comfortable 3-0 win over the Hungarians in Split, with Real Madrid’s Luka Modric on the scoresheet and Dinamo Zagreb’s Bruno Petkovic netting a brace.

Croatia are odds-on to win the group, and they will put one foot in the finals with victory in Cardiff this Sunday. At the time of writing, the 2018 World Cup runners-up are available at the tempting price of 6/4 to return home with three points in the bag.

Wales v Croatia Tips & Odds

Draw and both teams to score at 10/3
Gareth Bale to score anytime at 6/4

Wales v Croatia Predictions

Draw: After dropping two points in Slovakia to fall even further behind Croatia in the Group E table, Wales would love all three points from this one. However, the Croatians are a strong outfit these days, and I fancy the World Cup finalists to hold the Dragons to a draw in Cardiff. Have a punt on the draw and both teams to score 10/3.

Gareth Bale is often Wales’ hero, and the Real Madrid star scored the all-important winner against Azerbaijan at the Cardiff City Stadium last month. Back Bale to score anytime on Sunday at 6/4.
