Supreme Escape and Young Bull

Supreme Escape claimed a win as 11/4 favourite at Doncaster in a 3m trip in January. That was his most recent outing and puts him into action here with claims. That was a hurdle race. He takes on a 7lb hike for this one, but he enjoys the big stamina tests.

Young Bull is looking for his fourth straight win. It’s been some superb form from him this season and this will be his first outing since Boxing Day. The question is going to be whether or not he can handle the extra distance.

Supreme Escape is at 9/2 and Young Bull at 10/3* (betting odds taken from bet365 at 23:12 GMT on Sunday, 7th March 2020)

Terrierman

In his last outright Terrierman picked up a third-place finish in a hurdle over course and distance. That was from a field of six back in January. It could shape up too have been a good primer ahead of this one.

Terrierman claimed a 3m win in November last year, a class 4 contest at Southwell. He is running at 4/1 for this Sunday race* (betting odds taken from bet365 at 23:12 GMT on Sunday, 7th March 2020).

Perfect Man, Hogan’s Height and Fortune Goerge

There was a win for Perfect Man on his last trip which was a 3m 2f contest in January. That was his second win of the season as well, having claimed an earlier success at Chepstow. The distance-winner is the highest-rated horse in the field.

Nine year-old Hogan’s Height will be out for the first time since December. His last run was an Aintree 2m 5f trip which he won at 16/1 by 16l. It has been three wins in his last four runs for Hogan’s height.

Fortunate Geroge comes into action with a win under his belt from his last trip as well. That was a course and distance success just last month. It was a convincing victory as well and the fourth hurdle success of his career.

Other contenders

Carrolls Milan has three hurdle wins from 2m 7f to 3m 3f and the seven-year-old had a good second place at Ludlow in a 3m trip in January at Ludlow. She may tempt punters at 9/1 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 at 23:12 GMT on Sunday, 7th March 2020).

Good And Hardy fought at the course and distance in his last run in January. He has however, claimed a couple of wins at Uttoxeter and Chepstow this season. He did finish behind Terrierman who was on his handicap debut in that January fixture. But Good And Hardy is a good, steady performer.

Predictions & Tips

This is a fascinating contest in which there are plenty of claims flying around. Off the bat, the tough Carrolls Milan does pull in a great amount of appeal for us at the longer price. She will do her thing and is worthy of place claims.

Terrierman beat Good And Hardy at course and distance in January so will also have some appeal. The improving Young Bull is hard to pass up as well.

But we are going to stick with a front-runner Supreme Escape. Supreme Escape enjoys himself in the long tests and he will be going up 7lb, but he looks immensely strong with a massive engine and can hold his own.
