Watford News and Form

Watford’s form is actually pretty good currently. They have taken a win in four of their last six played across all competitions (L2). The two defeats in that sequence were top-flight away games at Liverpool and Manchester City. So Watford overall are in good shape. In their last six played at Vicarage Road, they have suffered only the one defeat. This is their first home game in this season’s FA Cup, having won out at Woking, Newcastle and QPR without having conceded a single goal. This is going to be a tough game for them with Palace turning up in good away form. Watford have already won both EPL games this season against the Eagles though.

Watford won both league games this season 2-1 against Palace
Watford are unbeaten in three at home against Palace (W1 D2)
Palace are without a win in three games against the Hornets
Palace won the last FA Cup meeting, a semi-final in 2016

Key-Facts – Watford v Crystal Palace

  • Watford won both league meetings 2-1 this season
  • Palace have won five of their last seven road games

Crystal Palace News and Form

Crystal Palace have done much better since the turn of the new year. They have suffered just the two defeats in their last nine in all competitions. Those were both defeats at Selhurst Park. They have been more reliable on their travels than at home this season. They did, however, beat Spurs in the fourth round at Selhurst Park. Getting back to their away form the Eagles have won their last three on their travels, and they are unbeaten in four. They have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven on the road as well. Palace have won five of their last seven on the road, the only loss in that sequence a 4-3 defeat at Liverpool in the Premier League. Palace have only one clean sheet in five road games.

Watford v Crystal Palace Predictions

Watford to win: There will probably be very little to split these two at the end of the day. But because it is Watford who have the home advantage, that just swings things in their favour. Watford to win in the match outright at 13/10* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on March 14th, 2019 at 8:39 p.m.)
