West Ham v Bournemouth Betting Tips – Premier League 20th January 3.00pm

Both of these have given themselves much better self-belief that they can stay up this season. After midweek FA Cup replays for both, it has been a busy schedule. However, both West Ham and Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last four league games so they have both managed to ease relegation concerns a little for themselves. So this may end up being a pretty tight battle between the two of them as they each strive to keep the positive momentum going.

West Ham News and Form

West Ham have improved to an unbeaten four-match streak now in the top flight (W2 D2) and they have only suffered the one defeat in their last eight now. However, they haven’t been holding up very well at the back recently as they have not managed to pick up a clean sheet in their last five, conceding nine goals in that sequence. That’s very un-David Moyes like. However, after a dry spell, they do seem to be scoring well enough recently as the Toffees have rattled off at least two goals in five of their last six league games and they smashed Huddersfield 4-1 last weekend. Mark Arnautovic has really come on strong and is a good option in the Paddy Power anytime goalscorer market along with teammates Andy Carroll and Chicharito. Put all that together and both teams to score at Paddy Power looks a pretty solid option for the game at 3/4 odds* (Betting Odds taken on January 16th, 2018 at 9:09 p.m.). There have only been the four home wins in the top flight this season, but they have suffered just the one defeat in their last five there. So they should avoid defeat in this one at the very least in what should be a pretty even game.

Bournemouth News and Form

Like West Ham, Bournemouth have been improving lately and should stick in there and put up a decent fight. These two are pretty much in the same boat at the moment because like the Hammers, Bournemouth don’t look like keeping a clean sheet anytime soon while they have been increasingly threatening going forward as well. Bournemouth have netted at least two goals in each of their last four games played and landed a big three points in toppling Arsenal last weekend. However, away successes have been few and far between for this season and they have gone without an away victory in their last five away from the Vitality Stadium. So that counts against them a bit and overall their away form reads just W2 D3 L6 for the season on their travels. At the back, they have shipped at least two goals in all but one of their last four on the road. The Cherries have been boosted by Callum Wilson’s recent return to scoring form and he is a 15/8 anytime goalscorer option at Paddy Power* (Betting Odds taken on January 16th, 2018 at 9:09 p.m.). Overall Bournemouth may have only netted the eight away goals all season and have failed to score in 55% of their road fixtures, but their current form suggests that they can make a real go of this.

West Ham v Bournemouth Head to Head

There have only been the five previous Premier League meetings between these two and most of them have been thrilling encounters. Four of the five have seen at least four goals in them so it could be a rollercoaster of a ride in this one. From the five previous Premier League games, things are even between these two with two wins each and a draw. So there’s nothing much to split them and the Cherries have scored at least three goals in three of their last five against the Irons.

West Ham v Bournemouth Betting Odds*

West Ham even money, Draw 5/2, Bournemouth 11/4* (Betting Odds taken on January 16th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.)

West Ham v Bournemouth Predictions

Draw: This could well end up as being a draw because they are both in similar form and have shown a few survival skills. Neither would probably be too unhappy with avoiding defeat in this one and the 1-1 draw in the correct score market has appeal.
