West Ham v Chelsea Betting Tips – Premier League 9th December 12.30pm

Chelsea have put together a really good run of unbeaten form in the top flight and they are looking more fluent and cohesive the more the season has worn on. They head out on the road on the weekend to go and face West Ham in a London derby. The Blues are favourites for the win, but there will be a bit of renewed optimism surrounding the Hammers after they gave a really good account of themselves in a defeat at Man City last weekend. Will David Moyes get his first win for the Irons?

West Ham News and Form

West Ham have failed to land themselves a win since David Moyes took charge, but they played well and were battling wonderfully in a 2-1 loss at the Etihad against Man City last weekend, after taking the lead in the match. On home soil in the top flight this season West Ham have produced a W2 D1 L3 record and they are on a three match winless streak of form at home in the league with a D1 L2 record. There hasn’t been a great deal of convincing output up front from them this term and their defence has been wide open. The Hammers have conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven league games. Over 2.5 goals at BetVictor returns a price of 4/5. Of their three home losses in the league this season, two of them have been by a three goal margin and they have not been ahead at half time in any of their home fixtures. There is a price of 5/4 on a half time drawing turning up in this one. Currently, West Ham are on an eight match winless streak in the Premier League. Still, their performance last weekend may see them at least be competitive and it may be worth considering both teams to score with BetVictor at 19/20 for the game though because Chelsea have power in attack.

Chelsea News and Form

In the BetVictor correct score market a Chelsea 2-1, which was the result in both of last season’s league meetings is a decent 7/1 option while a 1-0 victory for the visiting Blues is the shortest priced option at 13/2. Chelsea have been going along well now with six wins and a draw in their last seven league matches. They are the lowest scores of the current top five in the Premier League and they will be a little disappointed with their goal output. Still, they have taken four clean sheets in their last six league games, conceding just the two goals in that sequence. Chelsea to win to nil at BetVictor collects a price of 11/8 as they look to take advantage of the top two, Manchester United and Man City, playing each other this weekend. The Blues have done well on the road with a W5 D1 L1 record with the lone defeat coming at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. The Blues have conceded just the one goal in their last three road games. Alvaro Morata is the 5/6 outright anytime goalscorer favourite for the match.

West Ham v Chelsea Head to Head

Chelsea are in good overall head to head form in the Premier League giants West Ham with them having gone W7 D1 L1 in their last nine against the Irons. Both teams have scored in each of the last three home games that West Ham have played against Chelsea. They have won their last three league visits to West Ham.

West Ham v Chelsea Predictions

Chelsea to win: The Blues may just be able to edge this but probably by nothing more than a one goal margin. West Ham battled really well last weekend and they will have a bit of fire in their bellies for this home derby match. However, Chelsea have the touches of class good enough to expose their defence.
