West Ham v Watford Betting Tips – Premier League 10th February 3.00pm

West Ham’s run of recent unbeaten form in the Premier League crashed down to earth with a huge bump on the weekend as they suffered a loss against Brighton. So the Hammers are in that busy bottom half of the table where just three points separate the drop zone from eleventh. They will have a chance to respond to that setback as they play host to Watford on the weekend as the Hornets have been shaky out on their travels in the top flight recently and could be there for the taking.

West Ham News and Form

West Ham had a bit of a blowout last weekend as they were taken down heavily by Brighton on the south coast. That ended a great run of six matches unbeaten that they were on in the top flight (W2 D4). So now their character will be tested to see if they can bounce back immediately or not. They are unbeaten in their last three home games at least in the Premier League with a W1 D2 record and overall this season the Hammers have gone W4 D4 L4 at home, and have only lost one of their last six on home soil now (W2 D3) so they do have that going for them. They have drawn their last two home fixtures though 1-1 and in the Stan James Correct Score market the 1-1 draw option is at 19/4 odds* (Betting Odds taken on February 5th, 2018 at 2:33 a.m.). They haven’t been putting fear into defences at all this season and the Irons have scored fourteen goals in twelve home games this season. But they are on a six-match scoring streak at the London Stadium and overall home and away have scored in each of their last nine, so that’s another positive for them. West Ham have been leading at half time just once at home this term, so the half time draw in the match has some good appeal.

Watford News and Form

Watford destroyed Chelsea at Vicarage Road on Monday night, but their away form is pretty dreadful. They are just D1 L5 in their last six games out on the road and that point came in a 0-0 draw at Stoke in their last away fixture. During that six-game sequence of away games, Watford have failed to score in half of them and their defence has really had a hard time in earning clean sheets since the end of November really. Watford have managed to earn a clean sheet in just 24% of their league games. With their lack of goals on the road recently, both teams not to score at Stan James for a 4/5 quote* (Betting Odds taken on February 5th, 2018 at 2:33 a.m.) may have some appeal to punters. Their win over Chelsea may have given then renewed belief that they can turn the corner and it was a good, positive energetic performance overall. The Hornet’s really have to dig and start getting some momentum going out on the road where they have looked unconvincing. Under 2.5 goals is probably going to be the option to roll with in this one as neither are going to want to give up points in what should be a tight duel.

West Ham v Watford Head to Head

Watford took a comfortable home win over West Ham this season, taking down the Irons 2-0. That is a three-match unbeaten streak that they are on against the Irons now (W2 D1) and one of those wins were in a 4-2 victory over them in last season’s corresponding fixture. The Hornets have lost just won for their last six against West Ham now and they have only lost one of their previous four Premier League trips to West Ham as well (W2 D1).

West Ham v Watford Betting Odds*

West Ham 13/10, Watford 11/5, Draw 23/10* (Betting Odds taken on February 5th, 2018 at 2:33 a.m.)

West Ham v Watford Predictions

West Ham to win: Watford just have not been at the races away from home this season and therefore favouritism would have to be with West Ham. They have been a stubborn side to get the better of by and large, and they could grind out three home points here.
