White Easter set for the UK after Beast from the East hits?

Snow to fall on Easter 2018?

Novelty Betting & Other Events Betting

The Beast from the East, the cold snap that has most of Britain in its frigid grip has delivered some pretty extreme conditions. Schools have been closed up and down the country, public transport has been detailed and there has been an amber weather warning in place as well.

So how about a White Easter then as a betting option? That’s something that you are not going to be discussed too often, but plucky punters have been taking their chances on a White Easter in London happening and bookmakers were trimming the odds-on in happening from 25/1 down to 20/1 on Wednesday this week.

This is a twist on the old White Christmas betting market of course and there has been plenty of support for the notion from punters apparently has some bookmakers started offering up the market. Easter Sunday this year is on April 1st.

The beast from the East is expected to slowly heave itself up north after the weekend, while plenty of more snow is still expected to fall on Friday, with cooler weather coming into the country behind it. However, a Sudden Stratospheric Warming event should continue to affect weather adversity well into March.

That could mean that Spring gets pushed back a bit this year. But will the snow persist through to Easter? The key is in that Sudden Stratospheric Warming event which creates an increased risk of arctic blasts across the south, so if that is still around then there could well be some unthinkable snow falling at the start of April.
