Wimbledon News and Form

Wimbledon are stuck in big relegation peril right at the foot of League One. Survival looks a long way off. But they did earn a positive of an away win in the league on Tuesday night, snapping a four-match losing streak. The FA Cup has given them some nice relief from league stresses. After wins away at Haringey and Halifax, the Dons were then underdogs against League One promotion-chasers Fleetwood, but the Dons prevailed.

Then in the fourth round came their biggest win as they dumped four goals past Premier League side West Ham. The Dons simply took their chances after only earning 33% of possession against the Hammers. So Wimbledon have scored at least three goals in each of their last three FA Cup games. The win over West Ham is their only success in their last five home games (D1 L3). They have conceded at least two goals in each of their last four home games too while failing to score in three of their last five.

Key-Facts – Wimbledon v Millwall

  • Both claimed a win over an EPL side in the last round
  • Millwall are without a goal in three games
  • Millwall have lost ten of their fifteen away games this season

Millwall News and Form

Through the end of December and early January, things were looking up for Millwall as they put together a four-match winning streak. But things aren’t quite as good for them at the moment. The Lions have won only one of their last six played across all competitions. That win was a 3-2 success at The Den in the last round of the FA Cup over Premier League side Everton.

That was a win laced with controversy as there was a big handball involved in one of their goals. But the goal stood and here they are. Millwall though are now without a goal in any of their last three games played. They have failed to score in four of their last six across all competitions. You have to look at their away form this season. It’s terrible at just W1 D4 L10 in all competitions. How comfortable of a fixture is this going to be for them?

Draw: We feel that the Dons could get this back to a reply because the Lions have been on a bit of a slide recently, struggling in front of goal. Draw.
