There is some more superb WTA Tennis action this week. After the thrills of the WTA Championships last week, in which Petra Kvitova beat Victoria Azarenka in the final, we head to the Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions. It is off to Bali for this one, which runs from November 3rd to the 6th, and eight women compete in a single knockout format. While it is called the Tournament of Champions, it really isn’t entirely, as it is a mix of players who have won during the season, along with a couple of non-winning wildcards. It makes for a good blend of experience and youth in the event. But still, it is some great tennis action, and therefore some great tennis betting action in which to look at. The top eight players of the WTA season were involved in action last week, so this final event in the WTA International Series should be a little easier to call. With just eight women in the field, and knowing the draw, we can take a look at Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions tennis betting.

Draw:
Marion Bartoli v Anabel Medina Garrigues
Sabine Lisicki v Daniela Hantuchova
Ana Ivanovic v Roberta Vinci
Nadia Petrova v Shuai Peng

Marion Bartoli (#1 Seed) 12/5 at Unibet
Well, Frenchwoman Bartoli made a stand in appearance in Istanbul last week, beating Victoria Azarenka in a meaningless Round Robin match, after Maria Sharapova had pulled out. Bartoli has had a fantastic season, winning in Osaka, and she has been in red hot form lately. Bartoli is a real fighter, very scrappy and doesn’t appear on the surface to have a lot of power in her game, but she really puts everything in to her shots, combine that with her movement and tenacity and you have a great player. Bartoli has won her last seven matches now, and is the highest ranked player at the event, entering as world number nine (hence having just missed out on the WTA Championships. Clear favourite in the field and no reason not to back her. She should cruise through her first round match against Spaniard Garrigues who is not in great form at all (but has won two events this year). We could see Bartoli against either Lisicki or Hantuchova in the semi final. The Frenchwoman can take either of those.

Sabine Lisicki (#3 Seed) 5/1 at Victor Chandler

Young German Lisicki has been thrilling crowds all over the world this year, from her exciting and dramatic Grand Slam appearances, to lifting titles in Birmingham and Dallas, she has been a breath of fresh air. Always wearing a smile and have some superb serving power in her game. Has the potential to be much higher than her #17 in the world, but the fact that she’s there after missing last year through injury is a testament to her talent. After winning in Dallas though, she hasn’t been in tip top form, and suffered two disappointing tournaments in October. Talented, will need to raise her game though. Evenly matched contest against Hantuchova in the first round. The draw would pit her against Bartoli in the semi’s, which would be a fantastic spectacle, however, leaning towards Bartoli being too strong. It’s a shame that Lisicki wasn’t in the other half of the draw, because Lisicki v Bartoli would have made a great final.

Shuai Peng (#2 Seed) 7/1 at UniBet
The young Chinese star has really made a great name for herself this season, reaching a career high of 14th in the world this year. She has pace and power, and while she hasn’t won either an ITF or WTA event this year, she has been knocking on the door and will only get better next season. Still, think it is worth getting behind Peng in your Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions tennis betting, because she has what looks like an easy draw, and you feel that if an upset is going to come then it will be from her. She did lose against Bartoli at the end of September in Tokyo (was demolished actually), however, wouldn’t be surprised to see Peng in the final. Starts off against Nadia Petrova, who is a former world number three player. However, is not the player she was, has her days, but would expect Peng to rattle through her.

Ana Ivanovic (WC) 6/1 at Victor Chandler
The young Serbian won the event in Bali last year, and that was on the back of a tough year for her. She really hasn’t lived up to expectations this season either. We have seen glimpses of her at her very best, and let’s not forget she was world number one in 2008, but it seems as if her struggles to get right back on top of the world are going to continue. In as a wildcard against fourth seed Roberta Vinci, who has beaten Ivanovic twice this year. Don’t see a repeat coming from Ivanovic.

Roberta Vinci 12/1 at Stan James
The Italian has overturned a poor head to head against Ivanovic this year, beating the Serbian twice after losing four straight matches against her. Vinci has been a bit of a bright spark, winning three times on the International circuit this year. Vinci is going to make our top outside bet in Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions tennis betting. The Italian hasn’t been in great form during October, but would expect her to bounce back. Would be a fascinating match against Peng in the semi’s which could go either way.

Predictions: Bartoli has the form and class to win this one. Lisicki is the closest challenger there. From the bottom half, which is the much easier part of the draw, can see Peng and Vinci battling it out for a place in the final. Vinci makes for a really good option in Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions tennis betting.
