Today’s Horse Racing Tip

For us the stand out horse in this field for York racing odds is ILARAAB. He is the 4/1 current favourite for the contest* (betting odds recorded 21:31 GMT on 11th May 2021 at William Hill).

He was massively progressive last season, winning five of the bounce. Those were all here at York and the extra trip needed on Wednesday is not likely to bother him.

Ilaraab looks something special and has a wonderful temperament. If he picks up where left off, the William Haggas’ youngster could take all the beating with further progress.

The big threat to him in the field is MY FRANKEL who still looks a little ahead of the handicapper after beating Taqareer at Kempton on his latest run. My Frankel is up 7lb.

This is a big field for a sprint fixture at York on Wednesday. It looks like quite the puzzle to put together as well.

There are decent claims from a few here and we do expect big ones from BIELSA who is the 7/1 favourite* (betting odds recorded 21:31 GMT on 11th May 2021 at William Hill).

We are just going to lean towards Time Easterby’s STAXTON who is a previous course winner. He had a good autumn, scoring a couple at Ripon.

Staxton was back there for his reappearance run 18 days ago when he scored the Silver Sprint with plenty in hand still.

There has been a 4lb rise for Staxton, but that may not be enough to slow him up.

Others to keep on side for the contest include MR LUPTON, ROULSTON SCAR and AMERAMA GOLD, all of which have strong claims.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is a very competitive renewal of the Duke Of York with obvious strong claims from ART POWER and OXTED.

But this is a really deep field and we are pulling towards SUMMERGHAND at 12/1* (betting odds recorded 21:31 GMT on 11th May 2021 at William Hill).

He is thriving at the moment. Summerghand is seeking a hattrick as he rolls back into action on Wednesday.

He arrives on the back of a win at the Abernant in which he claimed a win over Oxted. A recent switch to the visor seems to have refreshed him nicely.

It’s a very strong field, but Summerghand has some decent claims in it and can hold his own. Our other picks for the race are MOLATHAM and the slightly underrated EMARAATY ANA.

This is the other big race of the day from York, the Musidora Stakes. This does look like it could be broken down to a two-horse race.

NOON STAR and TEONA are the front runners here.

We are going with the former selection at 13/8 as our horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:31 GMT on 11th May 2021 at William Hill).

She just appears to be the most progressive of the 3-year-olds on show here. We like that she is match fit having won 17 days ago on her reappearance at Wetherby.

There was an excellent finish from her there, looking very strong at the finish.

Noon Star is now sitting on a hat-trick chance. She has a good chance of delivering and holding off the other key threat in TEONA.

BOWMAN is the pick for this contest at York on Wednesday. He arrives in winning form as well after scoring at Lingfield two weeks ago.

Bowman made it in that contest and looks in fine shape at the moment. It had been a while since he found that kind of form.

So he may be worth siding with while he is hot at the moment. This is a stronger field that he is going to be up against.

Bowman may not be able to dominate as easily as he did last time out but he has a big chance of getting in the frame again.

The principal threats in his contest are HUDDLETON MAC and RIFLEMAN.

The last time that he was seen was 77 days ago in a score at Kempton. If he hits the ground running back on turf then he should be in this one.

MARK OF GOLD is a big threat in the field as he makes his reappearance run. He is sitting on a hat-trick for Richard Hannon.

The other that looks to have very strong claims is FLYIN’ SOLO who got off the mark at Newbury. The extra tip here should mean that he’s a big player.
