System Bets Calculator
We ourselves are fans of system bets and of sports betting strategies which deal with system bets. They are a popular way of covering yourself when you are building multiples, as system bets are an advanced version of accumulators.

As a punter, we are sure that you have already experienced system bets. We are sure that you have been in the position of having built a successful looking accumulator, only to see it all come crumbling down because just one leg of the bet failed.

Well, if you had swapped out your straight accumulator with a system bet, then you would have taken some coverage on your options. With a system bet, the disaster of losing your stake would not have happened if just one leg had failed. With a system bet in the above example on an accumulator with four legs in it for example, you would have won money or at least would not have lost that much in any case.

Explanations to our system bets calculator further below
short version: Select system - click on Next - enter odds - compute

The exact result depends on the chosen system and on the odds of the selections within it. In general a system bet is more profitable with higher odds, because then the probability that some tips are incorrect is higher. If necessary you could add low odds as bankers to your system bet.

The calculations are relatively complicated and time-consuming, that's why we wanted to provide you with a system bets calculator so that before placing your system bet you can figure out how to place it most effectively.

Just try it out with your preferred system, and you will see how many tips have to be correct in order to make a profit!

The process of using the calculator is quite self-explanatory:
  1. First choose a system (and if you want to add bankers)
  2. Click on 'Next'
  3. Enter your planned total stake
  4. Enter the odds of the individual selections
  5. Click away the check-marks, if you want to test
what happens if one or some of the matches go wrong.
  6. Click on Compute

On the calculation result page
you get the following information:
  • Presentation of the accumulator-combinations
(which your system bet consists of)
with individual odds, total odds of the combination and winnings.
  • You will also see a comparison of Total Stake and Total Profit
  • Stake per combination
(the result of your total stake and number of combinations)

Clicking on 'back' you return to the entry page Clicking on 'back' you return to the entry page where you can adjust your system bet options (e.g. see what happens to your system bet with another match losing, etc) and

You can also use this system bets calculator during the weekend when some of the selections of your system bet have already been played, just to see how much profit is still possible, how many of your remaining tips have to be correct to get that profit!

Here is an example of a system bet with three selections: Spurs, Manchester United and Liverpool.
You bet on the win options for those three in their respective matches, but by choosing a two out of three system bet (there are many systems available) then you will be covering what would be your accumulator by betting on all the examples of accumulators which could be made out of those three selections. In this case, three double bets (called Tips in System Betting) can be created:
Tip 1: Spurs & Man Utd win
Tip 2: Spurs and Liverpool win
Tip 3: Man Utd and Liverpool win

So what if just one of those teams lost in your system bet? Let's say it was Spurs. The first two Tips in the system would have lost because they involved Spurs. However, the Man Utd and Liverpool Tip will have produced a win for you. So even though two of your three Tips went down, you will still be paid out something for the win on the Man Utd and Liverpool Tip. Therefore, the two out of three system bet worked in your favour.
