Bolton to bounce back against Bury

League One/Two Tips

BOLTON WANDERERS v BURY

Tuesday 18th April 2017 – Kickoff: 2000hrs

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

With a game in hand over their promotion rivals, tonight’s hosts, Bolton Wanderers, know they cannot afford anything less than three points to put them in the box seat for automatic promotion up to the Championship when they play Bury this evening.

Bolton’s automatic promotion hopes have faltered in recent games as they’ve suffered back-to-back defeats to Scunthorpe United and Oldham Athletic respectively, although both of these losses were incurred away from home, so The Trotters will no doubt be grateful to return to their Macron Stadium for this crucial clash.

Bolton hold a good record of  12-6-3  32/16 on home turf, and they’re unbeaten in their last six league matches which includes wins over Walsall, Rochdale and Northampton Town. Look out for forward Madine (8 goals) and midfielder Vela (9 goals).

Visitors Bury are perched precariously just above the relegation zone ahead of their trip to Bolton, sitting just one league position and one point above Port Vale. Bury will be looking to end a dismal run of three straight defeat here this evening following defeats to Oxford United, Bradford and Rochdale.

The latter two losses were both at their Gigg Lane which doesn’t bode well for them here this evening, in addition to an away record that reads a below-par  4-7-10  25/39. In addition, The Shakers hold an average looking record of  2-3-5  10/19 when travelling to top half opposition, as the goals have been hard to come by on the road.

I’m tipping that Bolton bounce back here as automatic promotion is still in their own hands.
