Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Bromley bounced back from two defeats on the trot in the National League last weekend when they recorded a very useful 3-1 home win over Southport which has lifted them to relative safety in the non-league top flight ahead of their bottom half clash with Torquay United on Saturday.

Bromley had recently tasted defeat in back-to-back losses to FA Cup giant-killers Sutton United away from home, and a heavy 5-1 thrashing at home at the hands of league leaders Forest Green Rovers, but the Kent outfit will be looking for back-to-back wins of their own this afternoon.

Although Bromley’s overall home record of  7-2-6  20/25 reflects an inconsistent streak, the hosts have won five of their last six at their Courage Stadium with wins gained over Boreham Wood, York City, Maidstone United, Sutton United and Southport.

Visitors Torquay United still remain in the bottom half of the National League following just a single victory from their last five league matches overall, but there have been signs of an improvement despite recent defeats to Boreham Wood, Woking and Maidstone United.

The Gulls picked up an important three points in last weekend’s 3-1 home win over Gateshead which has lifted them away from the bottom four for the time being, but much depends on their ability to pick up points on the road if they’re to ensure their non-league top flight status this term.

A very poor away record of  2-3-10  12/26 is simply not good enough for Kevin Nicholson’s men and although they picked up useful points at York City and Forest Green Rovers in 0-0 and 5-5 draws respectively, they’ve still only registered one away win from their last 11 away trips.
