DAGENHAM v WYCOMBE – Pick: 2 AH0 – 28 March 2015

Wycombe to upset recent Daggers form

League One/Two Tips

Football – England – League Two

Saturday 28th March 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Hosts Dagenham & Redbridge will go into this afternoon’s clash with Wycombe Wanderers in positive mood having won four of their last five League Two matches overall.

Recent wins against Hartlepool United, Tranmere Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Stevenage have lifted The Daggers away from the relegation zone and they now possess a comfortable 12-point cushion over the bottom two clubs Cheltenham and Hartlepool as a result.

Their home form has yielded a mixed return in recent weeks despite the recent wins against Cheltenham, Hartlepool and Pltmouth as they’ve also suffered defeats to Burton Albion and Southend United (who, incidentally, are both in the top five), and another visit from a top five team beckons today with the arrival of Wycombe Wanderers.

Dagenham’s home record stands at  7-2-10  22/25 and they’ve lost the most number of home matches so far in League Two this season.

Wycombe Wanderers came out on top on Tuesday night when they beat play-off hopefuls Luton Town 3-2 at Kenilworth Road to keep their automatic promotion dreams on track. They now have a useful four-point cushion over fourth placed Bury who play another top side, Southend United this afternoon.

Wycombe will therefore be keen to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches this afternoon having won four of their last five on their travels within an overall away record which stands at an impressive  11-7-1  33/17. The Chairboys have dealt effectively with the teams situated in the bottom half recently with wins at Cambridge United, Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers as well as the Luton win in midweek.

So, despite Dagenham’s recent improvements, I still believe Wycombe can take the points here, but I’ll back the visitors with the draw no bet option to be safe. Wycombe could shade this perhaps 2-1.
