It’s game on in Copenhagen tonight as the Scandinavian derby between hosts Denmark and visitors Sweden resume proceedings in this evening’s second leg decider for a place in France 2016.
Denmark find themselves trailing 2-1 on aggregate following their defeat in Solna on Saturday and they’ll need to be at the top of their game to grind out a result against an upbeat Sweden outfit who appear to now be in the box seat to progress to the European Championships. Denmark’s form has slumped though in recent matches as they’ve suffered three defeats on the trot.

Sweden head into tonight’s decider with the upper hand as they take a valuable 2-1 lead into the second leg in Copenhagen knowing that they just need to avoid defeat here tonight to progress through to the European Championships in France next year.
They possess one of the best and most consistent strikers in world football in Zlatan Ibrahimovic who again notched for his country in the first leg from the penalty spot, and whilst he spearheaded the Swedish attack, tonight’s visitors will always be in the game.
Following back-to-back defeats to Russia and Austria, Sweden have since won their last three matches on the trot in the group stages with victories over Liechtenstein, Moldova and Denmark, but they’ll still need to be on their game tonight to avoid defeat.
