Galatasaray’s mixed season continued last Monday when they recorded a 3-2 win away at Antalyaspor which places this evening’s hosts in fourth place in the Turkish Super Lig ahead of their game against bottom half outfit Genclerbirligi at their Türk Telekom Arena.

Visitors Genclerbirligi have also returned some mixed results in recent weeks as they’ve registered wins over Konyaspor and Akhisar (both at home) but have also fallen to defeats to Alanyaspor and Karabukspor (both away from home).
It would be a fair summation to say that Genclerbirligi have experienced more success at their Ankara Ondokuz May?s Stadyumu than on the road as they’ve lost just once on home turf all season.
By contrast, Genclerbirligi hold a below average away record of 2-3-6 8/16 which includes four straight defeats on the trot at Fenerbahce, Kasimpasa, Alanyaspor and Karabukspor (all to nil), conceding a total of 10 goals during this miserable sequence.
I’m therefore confident that Galatasaray can register back-to-back wins here as they’ll be keen to keep the pressure upon second placed Istanbul Basaksehir who currently occupy the Champions League qualifier spot.
