Although Gateshead sit some five league places and three points below their visitors Sutton United ahead of their encounter at the Gateshead International Stadium, the hosts will be reasonably confident that they can grab something from this clash today.

However, it’s been Sutton’s away performances and results that have let them down so far in their first ever season in the non-league top flight as their record on the road stands at an indifferent 1-1-1 4/6.
Sutton will certainly be looking for a solid record away from home this season if they’re to stay out of trouble and it’ll be interesting to see if they can keep things tight at the back on their travels – they’ve yet to keep a clean sheet on the road.
