Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Gateshead head into Saturday afternoon’s clash with relegation-threatened Woking on the back of a promising seven-match run without defeat which has lifted the north-east club into the play-off pack in the National League.

The Heed will now be looking to cement their play-off position this afternoon with a win which create some daylight between themselves and the chasing teams such as Dover Athletic and Aldershot Town. Gateshead have won six of these last seven matches, while their home record stands at a very solid 8-8-2 33/15.

The home side have won four of their last five at their Gateshead International Stadium with victories chalked up against Barrow, Southport, Forest Green Rovers and Dagenham & Redbridge. Midfielder Beere (from AFC Wimbledon) has extended his loan spell with Gateshead, and look out for attacking trio of Johnson (17 goals), York (8 goals) and Burrow (5 goals).

Visitors Woking could only muster a point at home against Boreham Wood in last weekend’s 0-0 draw at the Kingfield Stadium, and they still remain in the bottom four of the non-league top flight. With just one league win from their last five matches overall, The Cards sit fourth from bottom but are just one point adrift of Torquay United and the safety position of 20th.

Woking have been boosted by the loan signing of striker Morris from Ipswich Town, but scoring goals hasn’t been the problem for Woking this season, more so the stopping of goals – particularly away from home where they’ve conceded 42 goals so far this season.

Woking’s away record stands at a poor 3-2-13 24/42 and they possess the worst defensive record on the road in the division to date.
