KIDDERMINSTER v ALTRINCHAM – Pick: 1 – 16 September 2014

Kidderminster look to home form again

National League Tips

Football – England – Conference Premier

Tuesday 16th September 2014 – Kickoff: 1945hrs

After suffering back-to-back away defeats, Kidderminster will be eager to return to their Aggborough Stadium for tonight’s midweek clash against Altrincham, where they’ll be looking to continue their good form on home turf.

Defeats on the road away at Southport and Braintree Town has stalled Gary Whild’s team but a win tonight could lift Kiddy up into as high as sixth place if other results go their way. As mentioned, Kidderminster have enjoyed some positive results at the Aggborough and they’re unbeaten in their last seven at home.

This season they’ve registered wins over Alfreton Town 3-0, Dartford 1-0 and Gateshead 2-1 along with a 2-2 draw with Chester, giving them a home record of  3-1-0  8/3 while overall, they’ve lost at home just once in their last thirteen league matches.

Visitors Altrincham are unbeaten in their last three matches with a win over Dartford 2-1 at home and then back-to-back draws with Alfreton Town away and at home to Eastleigh, 1-1 and 3-3 respectively.

However, their form away from their J.Davidson stadium has been less consistent with three defeats from their last four matches and an overall record on their travels so far of  0-1-3  4/8 as they’ve lost at Aldershot Town 1-3, Southport 1-2 and Nuneaton Town 1-2.

Altrincham’s goal this season will be to consolidate their position in the non-league top flight following promotion from the Conference North, and their home form should be enough to keep them out of trouble particularly against the sides around them in the division.

A trip to Kidderminster though, I fear, may be out of reach for Altrincham tonight with Kidderminster keen to return to winning ways and home advantage behind them. I therefore expect a home win tonight, perhaps 2-1 to Kiddy.
