KIDDERMINSTER v TORQUAY – Pick: X – 01 November 2014

Harriers and Gulls to cancel each other out

National League Tips

Football – England – Conference Premier

Saturday 1st November 2014 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Kidderminster have produced some mixed results in recent weeks with a win over Welling united 2-1 at home along with draws against AFC Telford and Barnet. However, defeats against Wrexham and Halifax Town have resulted in the midlands outfit remaining a slightly disappointing mid-table.

But Kidderminster’s overall home form has been pretty solid at the Aggborough Stadium with a record of  5-2-1  15/6 and the one defeat so far was a 0-1 loss to 8th placed Grimsby Town. The Harriers have lost just twice in their last seventeen home matches with the other defeat being again to The Mariners strangely enough.

Kidderminster will be keen to bounce back with the points this saturday after last weekend’s defeat away at Halifax.

Visitors Torquay United have suffered a dramatic downturn in form as they’ve lost four of their last five matches in the Conference Premier with defeats to AFC Telford, Forest Green Rovers, Alfreton Town and Grimsby Town.

The Gulls’ one success during this terrible run of form was a 2-1 home win over Wrexham, but they’ll be looking to recapture the kind of form that they began this campaign with as they started the season with just one defeat in their first eleven league matches.

Torquay’s overall away record stands at  3-1-4  14/14 and they’ve lost their last three away on the trot. Although The Gulls’ away record is inconsistent, they’ve managed to score in all but one of their away matches to date and this is worth taking into consideration here today.

Both teams have been inconsistent in recent weeks and with Torquay’s poor away form, they’ll be wanting to shore things up no doubt when they visit Aggborough Stadium today. I feel both teams are evenly matched right now so I’ll back the value draw option here in what could be a 1-1 stalemate.
