Football – Spain – La Liga Betting Tips

Mid-table Las Palmas have something in common with La Liga leaders Real Madrid and that is that they are also unbeaten so far at home in this Spanish top flight season. The hosts entertain lowly Deportivo La Coruna on Friday night at their Estadio Gran Canaria fortress which has yet to be breached this season.

Despite recent defeats to Atletico Madrid and Barcelona (both away from home, and both fully expected if they’re honest), Las Palmas have been a hard nut to crack on home turf as they hold a useful record of  5-4-0  17/8 having recently notched up wins over Eibar, Athletic Bilbao and Sporting Gijon.

Similarly, Las Palmas also hold a steady record at home against bottom half opposition with stats of  2-2-0  7/2 so far this term, and this could once again hold them in good stead here tonight. The home side have lost just once in their last 15 home matches, which was to Real Madrid back in March last year!

Visitors Deportivo La Coruna have also made some improvements in their form of late, having suffered just one defeat from their last five league matches overall (a 3-2 defeat away at Real Madrid), but have recorded important wins over Real Sociedad and Osasuna in recent times.

However, the cynic in me points out that both of these victories were gained at their Estadio Municipal de Riazor ground, while they are still yet to register a win on their travels so far in this campaign.

An away record of  0-4-5  8/18 indicates the problems they’ve had of securing a result on the road, and I fancy they’d be happy to take a point in this clash.

Las Palmas should be too strong though…
