Villarreal’s form away from home though has been a little patchy in recent times as they’ve registered wins at Valencia and Malaga but have also suffered losses at Real Madrid (3-0 last season) and Sporting Gijon towards the end of their last campaign.
They have also lost two of their last three at the Bernebeu and this match-up will be their toughest test yet in this new Spanish top flight season.
