Real Sociedad will be going in search of a third consecutive La Liga win on Sunday lunchtime when they entertain struggling Granada at their Estadio Municipal de Anoeta ground but they still sit in only a mid-table position despite their recent efforts.
Nonetheless, recent wins over Valencia, Real Betis and a 5-0 thumping over Espanyol away from home last time out which has set them up nicely to take all three points at home today. Visitors Granada slumped to yet another defeat last Sunday when they went down 2-1 at home to Real Madrid which became their fourth defeat from the last five matches in La Liga – the rare success during this sequence was a 3-2 home win over Getafe.
Indeed, three of Granada’s five wins this season have been recorded at their Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes ground, but their away performances have really let them down in this campaign as they’ve registered just two away wins on their travels all season.
An away record of 2-3-7 13/26 has been disappointing and they currently occupy second from bottom in La Liga as a consequence, and having lost their last four away matches on the trot, they face a difficult task at lunchtime today of getting something out of Real Sociedad.
