League One/Two Tips

ROCHDALE v BRISTOL ROVERS

Saturday 4th February 2017 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Rochdale currently occupy the last remaining play-off spot in League One ahead of this Saturday’s clash with play-off hopefuls Bristol Rovers at their Crown Oil Arena but the hosts are far from guaranteed from taking all three points.

Rochdale have suffered recent back-to-back defeats to Southend United away and a humiliating 4-0 loss at home to Oxford United last Saturday, so they’ll be keen to make amends in this encounter.

Dale’s 4-0 loss to Oxford United was seemingly out of nowhere as they possess a pretty impressive home record of  10-1-3  28/13 and they had previously racked up ten league wins on the trot on home turf.

Visitors Bristol Rovers sit in 8th place and are just three points adrift of their opponents Rochdale prior to this top half clash in League One but recent news has leaked of the sale of their star striker Matty Taylor to bitter rivals Bristol City, so they’ll be without their 16-goal forward.

Much of Bristol Rovers success has stemmed from a good home record at their Memorial Ground which has seen The Pirates win 9 of their 15 home matches to date, but it’s their form away from home which has held them back from already occupying a play-off spot.

An away record of  3-3-8  18/31 is not the kind of record you need to make a claim for a top six place, and they also possess the worst defensive record on the road in League One along with the likes of Gillingham and Bury.
