SEVILLA v RAYO VALLECANO – Pick: 1 AH-1.25 – 26 April 2015

Sevilla to cover line versus Vallecano

International Football Tips

Football – Spain – La Liga

Sunday 26th April 2015 – Kickoff: 1900hrs

Sevilla will be looking to overhaul rivals and fourth placed Valencia when they take on Rayo Vallecano at their Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Sunday evening.

Sevilla have been held to two consecutive stalemates in the Spanish top flight with a 2-2 draw at home with Barcelona, while securing a point away at Getafe last weekend in a 1-1 draw. But overall, Sevilla have been a very hard nut to crack as they’ve gone eight La Liga matches without defeat.

This current impressive run of form has seen them record victories over Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao and Levante, while on home turf, they possess an excellent record of  11-5-0  32/9, having won six of their last eight on home turf.

Bacca and Gameiro look the likeliest anytime goalscorers for the hosts.

Visitors Rayo Vallecano registered a relatively comfortable 2-0 win over Almeria at home last Sunday and as a result, they sit in the safety of a mid-table position. But while they occupy a non-dangerous postion in La Liga, most of Rayo Vallecano’s recent successes have been at home where they’ve won five of their last six matches.

Away from home, it’s the exact opposite where they’ve lost five of their last six with defeats at Atletico Madrid, Elche, Athletic Bilbao, Barcelona and Celta Vigo, while they did manage a solitary win at struggling Eibar.

Rayo Vallecano’s away record stands at  6-1-9  17/38 and they’ve been shipping goals at the back on a regular basis. Only Granada (42 goals) have conceded more than them away from home in La Liga this season, and they’ve conceded 19 goals in their last six away matches.

With Rayo Vallecano’s leaky defence in mind, I’ll back the hosts to register a comfortable win here and over the asian line as well in what could perhaps be a 2-0 win for Sevilla.
