Spain should edge Turkey in tough encounter

SPAIN v TURKEY

Football – Europe – Euro 2016 Betting Tips

Spain got their Euro 2016 campaign off to a successful start when they beat Czech Republic 1-0 and they have another chance to add to their points tally on Friday night when they take on Turkey in Nice.

However, the Spaniards left it late in the game to find a winner against a stubborn Czech side who had held out for almost the duration of the match, until Pique popped up to grab the winner just three minutes from time.

Spain may well take their chances against a Turkey outfit on Friday too as their opponents were involved in a bruising affair with Croatia in their opening Group D match, and with a star-studded midfield containing the likes of Silva, Fabregas, Iniesta and Koke, they’ll be confident of controlling the middle of the park.

Turkey, as mentioned, were involved in a very physical encounter with Croatia in their Euro 2016 opener, and although they did create a few chances to score, the only difference between the two sides was Croatia’s Modric’s superb volley from outside the area.

Turkey will be up for this match again, but it’ll be interesting to see how much the Croatia game took out of the players as they gave it their all in their first group match. Eighteen year-old Emre Mor caught the eye in the game against Croatia when he came on as a substitute, but he was the only real creative spark that the Turks had.

This will be another tough encounter with Turkey giving it everything, but I fancy Spajn’s quality to eventually win the day.
