Torino could register back-to-back wins here

TORINO v BOLOGNA

Football – Italy – Serie A Betting Tips

Torino ended a dire run of six matches without a win in Serie A last weekend when they registered a 1-0 win away at Atalanta, and they have a great chance of recording back-to-back wins in the Italian top flight today when they take on lowly Bologna at their Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

Despite this recent poor run of form, Torino still remain in the top half of the division (just!), while their home record still represents solidity as it stands at  3-2-1  11/7 despite defeat last time out on home turf to Inter Milan 1-0.

Torino look to have edge over their opponents though today and with forward Quigliarelli and midfielder Baselli in their ranks, they could well take another three points this afternoon which could lift them to within touching distance of the Europa League qualifying spots.

Visitors Bologna have also lifted their game in recent weeks as they’ve registered some important wins which has kept them out of the bottom three for the time being – wins over Carpi, Atalanta and Hellas Verona along with a point against Roma last weekend will bring them much-needed confidence ahead of today’s clash in Torino.

However, back-to-back wins away at the bottom two clubs is all very well, but to get something away at a top half club may be completely different as their overall away record of  2-0-4  6/10 shows.

This is actually reflected in Bologna’s two matches away at top half opposition so far this season as they’ve lost 2-0 away to Fiorentina and 3-1 away to Juventus, so the cards seem stacked against them here this evening.

I’ll back Torino to build upon their win over Atalanta last week to register the points here in perhaps a 1-0 win for the hosts.
