Blackburn Rovers v Sunderland (kick off 20:00)

Blackburn entertain Sunderland on tuesday night with virtually a full squad to choose from. Bradley Orr returns after completing a practice match last week and David Dunn has successfully beaten off an Achilles injury. Only Vince Grella will miss out (long-term injury).

Sunderland are in flying form and travel to Ewood Park in high spirits, though without defender Phil Bardsley who is still nursing a rib injury. Fellow defender Kieran Richardson will also miss out due to a calf problem. Stephane Sessegnon and Lee Cattermole are both banned for this game and will watch from the stands alongside the long-term injured duo of Wes Brown and Titus Bramble.

Manchester City v Chelsea (kick off 19:45)

Carlos Tevez could be a named substitute for Manchester City on Wednesday night. Joleon Lescott is out (groin) and Vincent Kompany will undergo a fitness test on his calf. City can welcome back Gareth Barry and Pablo Zabaleta.

Chelsea travel without John Terry who is nursing a sore knee but he should be back for the weekend.

 

Tottenham Hotspur v Stoke City (kick off 19:45)

Spurs players are all being screened to make sure everyone is in the right frame of mind following Fabrice Muamba’s heart attaack on the pitch last weekend. On the inkury front, Emmanuel Adebayor will not be considered for selection (hamstring) while Ledley King will be assessed nearer to kick off (knee). Aaron Lennon is being pestered by a pesky hamstring but William Gallas returns following his recent calf strain. Definite casualties are Tom Huddlestone, Heurelho Gomes and Michael Dawson.

Stoke will have Asmir Begovic back in goal for the trip to White Hart Lane. Ricardo Fuller is banned.

 

Everton v Arsenal (kick off 20:00)

Everton playmaker Steven Pienaar is back in the squad after being cup-tied last weekend. However, definite absentees are Darron Gibson (knee), Jack Rodwell (hamstring) and Seamus Coleman (minor knock).

Arsenal welcome back Thomas Vermaelen to their travelling squad after he overcame a calf problem. Abou Diaby is back training but is not fit enough to travel. Francis Coquelin is out (hamstring) and joins Jack Wilshere (ankle) and Per Mertesacker (ankle) on the physio’s treatment table.

 

Queens Park Rangers v Liverpool (kick off 20:00)

QPR’s playmaker Adel Taarabt returns to the first team following a recent hamstring strain. Definitely missing, however, will be DJ CAmpbell and Heidar Helguson, but both should return next month.

Liverpool are definitely without broken rib victim Daniel Agger while doubts surround the participation of Glen Johnson and Craig Bellamy.
