BRENTFORD v BLACKBURN ROVERS

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Brentford head into the final day of the Championship season in good form as they’ve suffered just one defeat from their last eight league matches as they prepare for the visit of Blackburn Rovers at Griffin Park on Sunday lunchtime.

Five wins from these last eight matches include wins over Burton Albion, Bristol City, Leeds United, Derby County and QPR with four of these five wins recorded on home turf. Brentford’s home record stands at a reasonable  11-5-6  41/22 and they’ve won their last four home matches on the trot.

The Bees’ last four wins have seen them score 11 goals and concede just 1 in reply, and they’ve kept a total of nine clean sheets overall at home this season. In addition, Danish striker Vibe (14 goals) has had a good season for the London club.

Visitors Blackburn Rovers still find themselves in the bottom three of the Championship despite a solid run of four league matches without defeat as Rovers have gained wins at Nottingham Forest and at home last weekend against Aston Villa.

Blackburn manager, Tony Mowbray, who somehow continues to get job after job with some high profile clubs (but not achieving anything substantial), has the task of keeping Rovers up in the English second flight.

Blackburn have closed the gap on their relegation rivals, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest, thanks to their four match unbeaten run, but they face a difficult challenge at Brentford today, particularly considering their away record of  3-7-12  21/34 and just one win on the road from their last 13 outings.
