Norwich can put another nail in Rotherham's coffin

Championship Tips

NORWICH CITY v ROTHERHAM UNITED

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

The Championship resumes this weekend following the international break, and my next pick features Norwich City taking on Rotherham United with both teams looking for all three points but for differing reasons.

Looking at Norwich City first, and The Canaries sit in second place in the English second tier just two points adrift of surprise package and current league leaders Huddersfield Town, but they have a great opportunity to overtake the lead at the top of the division when they play struggling Rotherham at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Norwich have won five of their last six matches overall in the Championship with the only defeat during this sequence being a 4-3 loss away at Newcastle United, but their form on home turf has been excellent as expected with a record to date of  4-1-0  9/4 and winning their last four on the trot with wins over Bristol City, Cardiff City, Wigan Athletic and Burton Albion.

Visitors Rotherham United are exactly where many people predicted before the new season began, and that is rock-bottom of the Championship with just one league win to their name which was a 1-0 home win over Brentford.

It could be a swift return to Scottish football for former Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs if The Millers lose again on Saturday afternoon, and having lost their last four on the trot with defeats to Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United, they look lie a side that are totally bereft of confidence going into this encounter.

Rotherham’s away record reads a sorry looking  0-0-5  3/16 and it’s hard to see how they’re going to stem the flow of goals scored against them when they take on Norwich City today.

Pick: Norwich City AH-1 @ 1.61 Bet Victor
