Football – Northern Ireland – Premiership Betting Tips

Ballymena United return to The Showgrounds for Tuesday night’s clash with Glenavon in the Northern Ireland Premiership as the hosts look to record a third consecutive win on home soil following recent wins over Portadown and Coleraine.

Despite recent away losses at Linfield and Ards, Ballymena United still sit in fourth place and they have a good chance to continue their encouraging home form and apply pressure on third placed Cliftonville who currently hold a six point lead over tonight’s hosts.

But Ballymena possess a pretty strong home record so far this season which reads  7-1-3  27/19 and the home side have registered three wins from their last four, while being second only to league leaders Crusaders in terms of goals scored at home in the division to date.

Onto Glenavon, and they sit in 7th spot and some eight points adrift of their opponents this evening going into this encounter, and recent form also appears to be against them too. Glenavon have managed just one league win from their last six matches overall, which was a 1-0 home win over fifth placed Coleraine.

But recent defeats to Dungannon Swifts at home and a 3-1 loss away at Crusaders along with stalemates against Portadown and Cliftonville have prevented Glenavon from breaking into the top six and the Championship Round positions thus far.

In fact, stalemates have been prevalent for the visitors on their travels so far as you can see from their away record to date which stands at  1-6-3  12/20, while keeping only two clean sheets on their travels at bottom half clubs Carrick Rangers and Ards respectively.
