Everton to hold sway over Bournemouth

BOURNEMOUTH v EVERTON

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

Bournemouth halted a miserable run of four straight defeats in the English top flight last Saturday when they took a point off Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in an entertaining 2-2 draw but manager Eddie Howe and his boys will be wondering what might have been as The Cherries threw away a 2-goal lead.

It’s moments like these during a course of a long and arduous season that can be pivotal towards a club’s Premier League survival and I wonder if Bournemouth fans will look back at the end of the season with regret.

Bournemouth have now gone seven matches without a top flight win and indeed their last success was a 2-0 home win over fellow strugglers Sunderland back in September – so that’s two months without a Premier League win.

Visitors Everton registered a convincing 4-0 home win over hapless Aston Villa last Saturday which handed Roberto Martinez’s men a third game without defeat following a point away at West Ham in a 1-1 draw and a 6-2 demolition of Sunderland at Goodison Park.

On their travels, Everton have lost just once in their last seven matches which was a perhaps understandable 2-1 defeat at Arsenal, but aside from that blip, Everton have scored wins at West Ham, Southampton and West Brom, while their overall away record stands at  2-3-1  8/5.

It’s a stubborn away record that we’ve come to expect from Martinez’s side this season while their record away at bottom half teams stands at a dour  0-2-0  0/0, but they have once again tightened up at the back this term with three clean sheets to date away from home.

I am confident that Everton can at least avoid defeat here on the south coast, and they might even nick this perhaps 1-0.
