Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

An impressive turnaround in form from the start of April has seen Leicester City transform from almost-certain relegation candidates to a healthy position of 14th in the Premier League as they head into the last day of the season with no worries of falling through the trap-door into the Championship.

A run of eight matches with just one defeat has seen a resurgent Foxes outfit flourish under manager Nigel Pearson as they’ve chalked up recent wins over West Ham, West Brom, Swansea City, Burnley, Newcastle United and even Southampton as their confidence has grown. Their only defeat during this sequence was an understandable 3-1 defeat at home to Premier League champions Chelsea, but they have a good opportunity to finish off their season in style at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

Leicester City’s overall record on home turf stands at  6-5-7  23/21 and they’ve won four of their last five, with striker and leading goalscorer Ulloa (10 goals) being their most likely goalscorer today.

Despite currently sitting bottom of the Premier League, today’s visitors QPR will be desperate to finish at least above Burnley as they make their bow out of the English top flight this afternoon. The London club have already been relegated but they’ll be keen to build upon last week’s 2-1 home win over Newcastle United to finish the season with back-to-back wins.

The Hoops will also be keen to turn in an improved performance following their last away trip which ended in a disastrous 6-0 defeat at Manchester City, while their overall away record of  2-1-15  18/44 tells its own story!

Perhaps the one shining light throughout QPR’s miserable season in the top flight though has been the goalscoring form of striker Charlie Austin (17 goals) as he’s almost single-handedly kept them in a lot of games this term and looks their best hope of netting here this afternoon.

Both teams then will want to give a good account of themselves here, and I can see both of them scoring here in what could perhaps be either a 1-1 draw or a 2-1 home win for The Foxes.
