Norwich City were dealt a bitter blow last weekend when they lost 2-0 away at Watford against a side they would have fancied taking at least a point off, and despite their home advantage at Carrow Road this afternoon, they’ll face a tough examination from visiting Everton today.
Norwich have now lost six of their last eight in the Premier League and with just one win from their last ten matches overall, The Canaries look set to be embroiled in a relegation dogfight from now until the end of May which is a long time to be looking over your shoulder at the rest of the teams below.
Norwich’s overall home record stands at 2-2-3 8/9 with wins so far over Bournemouth and Swansea City who are both in the bottom half of the division, while their record against top half teams on home turf has seen them draw twice and lose once in their three encounters to date.
Visitors Everton extended their unbeaten run in the English top flight to five matches last weekend when they were held to a 1-1 draw at home with Crystal Palace who currently sit in sixth spot in the division.
Everton have been a very stubborn unit on the road so far this term as they’ve suffered just one defeat all season which was an understandable 2-1 loss away to Arsenal, but recent wins over West Brom and Southampton along with points gained at West Ham and Bournemouth suggest they are worth a bet on today’s match.
Toffees Belgian striker Lukaku has also been amongst the goals so far as well, so you can’t rule out the visitors of getting something in East Anglia this lunchtime.
