Football – Brazil – Serie A Betting Tips

Despite losing away from home last week, Ponte Preta will nevertheless be confident of claiming all three points at home to Internacional when the two teams clash at the Estádio Moisés Lucarelli on Sunday morning.

It’s just the one defeat for the hosts from their last five matches overall in the Brazilian Serie A as they’ve remained steady in their current position of 7th in the top flight, while their home record stands at  5-0-2  11/11 having won four of their last five on home turf.

Recent wins against Chapecoense, Atletico PR, Sao Paulo and Sport Recife should stand them in good stead here today, and they could inflict further damage upon an already fragile state of the visitors who are currently experiencing unrest from their fans.

Internacional have now gone seven matches without a win in Serie A and have lost their last five on the trot which has sparked protests from their fans at the training ground during the week which won’t have done their preparations for their trip to Ponte Preta any favours.

Defeats to Botafogo, Flamengo, Gremio, Santa Cruz and Palmeiras have left them in a disappointing mid-table position ahead of today’s encounter, and if they concede the first goal, then the flood-gates could open up amongst a team seemingly bereft of confidence.

Internacional’s away record stands at  2-1-4  6/8 and they’ve lost four of their last five away from home, along with failing to score in three of these matches during this miserable sequence.

Ponte Preta are only slim favourites though, so I’ll back them with the round ball here.
