Tottenham head into Sunday afternoon’s London derby with West Ham on the back of a useful four-match unbeaten run which will give Mauricio Pochettino and his squad plenty of confidence at White Hart Lane today.
Recent wins against Bournemouth and Aston Villa in the Premier League along with a 2-1 home win over Belgian outfit Anderlecht in the Europa League had already set Spurs up nicely for this fixture, but Tottenham will have gained a lot of confidence from their point earned away at rivals Arsenal prior to the international break.
Tottenham are also unbeaten on home turf as well as they currently possess a solid-looking record of 3-3-0 10/4 and they’ve won three of their last four matches at White Hart Lane with impressive wins over Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Visitors West Ham are also enjoying a successful campaign in the Premier League under new manager and former Hammers player Slaven Bilic who replaced Sam Allardyce at the helm at the Boleyn Ground as West Ham sit in sixth spot.
Curiously, most of West Ham’s success has come on their travels so far this season which is reflected in their away record of 4-1-1 12/6 which includes impressive wins on the road at Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Crystal Palace who are all impressive scalps for the east London outfit.
However, defeat at mid-table Watford before the break shows that The Hammers can be vulnerable on the road too, and this could be a close match-up as a result.
Tottenham could just shade this derby as they appear to be the more solid on home turf with striker Kane looking to add to his goal-tally along with midfielders such as Dembele, Eriksen and Lamela also providing serious goal threats.
