Online betting site Paddy Power have launched a new product for their customers called Flash Markets. These are live in-play betting markets which have a very short life-span. These are short-lived markets that will appear during games on things which will happen next.

For example, you could have a simple yes or no option on ‘Will there be a throw in?’. Sounds like a simple bet but the market would be open for one minute only so if you said yes on the bet, then you would need the ball to go into touch within the next sixty seconds to win. Those are the micro markets on offer in Paddy Power’s Flash Markets offerings.

So you get quick markets where you back yes or no on things like a free kick, a goal, a card, an offside decision, a corner, a penalty or a goal kick happening within the 60-second time slot on the bet.

This is not a product which has full coverage in all matches yet, but Paddy Power ran it over five Premier league games last week, including Leicester v Swansea on Sunday, and this is just the start of the product as they will expand it. Not only will more games be covered but so will the number of markets and the time frames involved in the wagers to maybe two or three-minute markets. Register an account with online betting site Paddy Power and earn up to £30 worth of free bets as a welcome bonus.
