Napoli sit proudly at the top of Group B ahead of Matchday 3 when they play host to second placed Besiktas at their Stadio San Paolo with a commanding four-point cushion over their opponents, and another win this evening could seal their progress into the knock-out stages even at this early stage.
Group wins over Dynamo Kiev (2-1 away from home) and a 4-2 home win over Benfica have set them up nicely and they now sit in the box seat in Group B with a 100% record. It’s now been four matches without a win in this competition for Besiktas who had previously drawn 0-0 with Arsenal at home and then lost 1-0 at The Emirates a couple of seasons ago in their last appearance at this level.
In addition, history seems to be against them away from home as Besiktas have managed just two wins on their travels from their last ten matches.
