England made pretty short and swift work of New Zealand in the first Test and online bookmaker Bet Victor are offering some insurance should things take a similar path in the second. The second Test between England and New Zealand starts on May 24th and there is some great, unique match betting coverage to enjoy at Bet Victor, who won the award of Online Company of the Year at the BetView awards in May.
It was superb bowling by Stuart Broad and James Anderson to wrap up proceedings on the fourth day for England. Broad finished the innings with career best figures of 7-44 as he decimated the New Zealand batting line up. The Black Caps were all out in the second innings for just 68, the tenth lowest score in a Lords’ Test. The supreme bowling from Broad and Anderson, which had an added hostility that wasn’t there when England drew their recent Test series out in New Zealand.
But if the partnership of Broad and Anderson had not have shone so brightly and devastatingly on the fourth day, the match could have been closer. The tourists has skittled England out for 213 in the hosts’ second innings, the Black Caps setting themselves up for a decent run chance to win the match. Surprisingly England’s batting line up wasn’t as powerful as many had expected it to be against the tourists attack, with Tim Southee looking impressive.
If the second Test Match between England and New Zealand does not go to the 5th day of play, then online bookmaker Bet Victor will refund all losing pre-event Top First Inning Batsman and Top First Innings Bowler bets as a free bet up to £50!
So some tremendous cricket betting insurance, with Bet Victor’s Early Finish Insurance in the 2nd Test Match for England v New Zealand. New customers registering an account with online betting site Bet Victor can get up to a free £25 bet as a welcome bonus. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet.

Online bookmaker Unibet have fired up a great cricket betting promotion ahead of the Second Test between India and England, which starts on Friday. England’s batsmen collapsed in the first innings of the first test and while Alastair Cook and Matt Prior offered some resistance against the slow Indian attack in their followed-on second innings, it still wasn’t enough to avoid a heavy nine wicket defeat. England’s mercurial batting talent, Kevin Pietersen is under the spotlight in the second test as Unibet launch their Nuts KP promotion.
Head to the online bookmaker and place a £10 bet on the Top England Batsman market for the Second Test and if Kevin Pietersen top score, then Unibet will refund losing bets. The combined totals of the 1st and 2nd innings counts towards the title. If Pietersen happens to end up joint top scorer, the bookie will still pay out the refund. So it may be worth using this coverage to have a punt on the majestic Alastair cook, who put in a knock of 176 in England’s second innings, or Matt Prior, England’s top scorer behind captain Cook.
As for Pietersen, he disappointed again, falling for 17 in the first innings and then getting clean bowled for 2 in the second. However, he is that type of player who can quickly hit a big score, with him, you just never know. It is cricket betting insurance all the same and worth taking.
England Top Batsman Second Test Betting at online bookmaker Unibet
Alastair Cook 3/1, Kevin Pietersen 4/1, Jonathan Trott 4/1, Nick Compton 11/2, Joe Root 11/2, Eoin Morgan 7/1, Jonathan Bairstow 7/1, Matt Prior 7/1
Online bookmaker Unibet, who provide a tremendous live in play betting service, welcome new customers with the offer a risk free £20 bet. If your first wager placed on a new account loses, then you will get your lost stake refunded up to the maximum of £20, so you won’t lose out on that first wager!

England v South Africa cricket betting is not looking as healthy for the home side as it was before the start of the season. That is because they were crushed by an innings and then some in the first Test of the three match series against tourists South Africa. England put up a decent total, if not memorable, largely thanks to Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott as the pitch at The Oval looked flat on the first day. So England started well in control at the start of day two, but with some clouds around, the South African bowlers started to find a bit of movement and started to trouble the England batsmen, skittling the rest of the England wickets out. That gave the South Africans a chance to get into bat, much earlier than they had anticipated, and superb knocks from Hashim Amla (with a triple century), captain Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis simply put the England bowlers to the sword. With the sun out in South London, there was no swing and no life on the pitch for the England attack to operate with.
So England blew a massive chance by not preserving their wickets on the second day, if they had, it could have been a lot different for them. The fact of the matter is, that there was a difference between the bowling. For all the great work that Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad have done in getting England to the top of the Test rankings, they were outshone and outclassed by the number one ranked bowler in the world, Dale Steyn. After a poor first day, he came back with all guns a blazing and showed why he was the best in the world. So the threat of the South African bowling attack, actually looked a lot sharper and provided a lot more conviction and tactical awareness than the England attack. Naturally England captain Andrew Strauss, who was out for a duck in the first innings, has said that he fully expects England to recover for the second test.
Second Test: England v South Africa Cricket Betting Odds at online bookmaker Bet Victor
England 15/8, Draw 19/10, South Africa 15/8
This is a battle between the top two sides in the world, and now England’s position as number one is seriously under threat. England really need their attack to find something extra, and just a little bit more concentration from the batsmen will help. So it will be on to Headingly for the second test and England v South Africa cricket betting round two. The Tourists will no doubt have their tails up and be keen to claim top spot in the rankings. For England, the pressure will be on to perform and to try and pull the series level. After starting as favourites to win the series, England obviously now are well back.
England v South Africa Cricket betting Series Winner at online bookmaker Bet Victor
South Africa 1/2, Draw 3/1, England 7/1
Online bookmaker Bet Victor run a continuous cricket betting Money Back Special on their site for cricket betting. This is well worth looking at because when you place a pre-match Top Batsman bet, if the captain ends up being the Top Scorer and your selection loses, then Bet Victor will refund you single with a free bet. The coverage on the market is up to £50. Online bookmark Bet Victor offer a free £25 bet for new customers registering an account. This is a coming together of the top two test nations in the world at the moment, with England looking to hold on to their status at the top, especially with home advantage for the three test series. After crushing Australia emphatically in their recent One Day International series, the next challenge in a long year of cricket for England, is taking on South Africa. There are big prizes at stake here for the Tour, as England look to cement their position as the number one test side in the world, as well as make a claim for being the best ODI side as well. England are currently ranked number one in the Test and Twenty50 formats, and are close to the top in the ODI rankings after thrashing the Aussies. So now, with a successful series against South Africa, England could become the first ever nation to hold top ranking in all three formats of international cricket. That would be an immense achievement, and with home advantage against the touring South African’s, England will just be edging things as favourites, but they will face tougher challenges than they did against a beleaguered looking Australian side.
England v South Africa Test Series Betting
In England v South Africa cricket betting, England are trading as 11/10 favourites with online bookmaker Bet365 to win the Test series, with the Proteas back at 21/10. A draw over the three matches is trading at 14/5 with the bookie. So narrow margins here between the top two test sides in the world at the moment. England will naturally have a degree of advantage on home soil, but things should be pretty tight as on paper, there really is not much to choose between the two sides in either batting or bowling department. Could the difference come down to the spin of Graeme Swann? England do have the better spin bowling option to come into play, with Swann being far more prolific than the Proteas option of Imran Tahir. England’s seam bowling attack of Jimmy Anderson, Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan are a potent force as they have shown this year and they should match up well against world number one bowler Dale Steyn and partner Morne Morkel.
England v South Africa Test Dates
19-23 July: First Test, The Oval
2-6 August: Second Test, Headingley
16-20 August: Third Test, Lord’s
South Africa will bring the experience of Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis, who has never quite lived up to expectation in England. South Africa have a lot of batting strength, and good options to switch things up in the line-up as well. For England’s batsmen, they performed well in the ODI series against Australia, the top six getting the job done in each of the four matches played, never needing to call on the services of the seventh batsman. But England do not have a settled number six in the Test side after Eoin Morgan was dropped in the winter. That is likely to be the only unsettled spot in the English line up, whereas South Africa suffered the huge blow of losing wicket-keeper Mark Boucher, who had to retire from the game after suffering an eye injury. Boucher is the record holder in international Test cricket, for most dismissals as a keeper, and is a massive loss for the touring Proteas.
The head to head record in England v South Africa Test cricket stands at 56 to 29 in England’s favour from 138 matches. England have performed well on home soil against the Proteas, winning 27 matches, drawing 23 and losing just 11.
England v South Africa Test Series Betting Odds at online bookmaker Bet365
England 11/10, South Africa 21/10, Draw 14/5
England v South Africa Series Correct Score Odds at online bookmaker Bet365
1-1 Draw 7/2, 2-0 England 6/1, 1-0 England 5/1, 2-1 England 15/2, 1-0 South Africa 6/1, 2-1 South Africa 9/1
England v South Africa Cricket Betting Prediction
This should be a very tight series all the way. What could the difference come down to? The England batsmen being at home, comfortable and relaxed on their own track. South Africa can fire off a fierce seam bowling attack, but the England batting line up in playing well at the moment and looking very solid. There is usually someone to always come through and guide England forward and they are going to be hard to break down. England could just grind down the South Africa attack enough, and then do damage with their own swing bowling to just edge the series. A big series win is unlikely to prevail, but for being in a position to grind out a win, England are there and a 1-0 series win for 5/1 looks pretty good value. They will get their chances.
England v South Africa ODI Series
South Africa hold the edge in the ODI head to head between the two sides. The Proteas have won 23 and lost 19 of their 45 One Day International Matches against England. So with England and South Africa on equal ranking on the international format of the game behind only Australia, there really is nothing to chose between these two. England have won the last two ODI’s against South Africa though, beating them in Port Elizabeth in 2009, and again in their most recent meeting in Chennai in March of 2011. After England’s dominance over Australia in the format, using most of the Test side form should carry England far.
Dates:
24 August: 1st ODI, Cardiff
28 August: 2nd ODI, Southampton
31 August: 3rd ODI, The Oval
2 Sept: 4th ODI, Lord’s
5 Sept: 5th ODI, Trent Bridge
England v South Africa Twenty20 Series
The two nations have only met five times before in Twenty20 matches, and England have won two and lost three of those meetings. The last time they played though was back in May 2010, which England did win, but since then, England have raced to the top of the world rankings in the Twenty20 format.
Dates:
8 Sept: 1st T20, Chester-le-Street
10 Sept: 2nd T20, Old Trafford
12 Sept: 3rd T20, Edgbaston
Online bookmaker Bet Victor have a good cricket betting Money Back Special promotion which is worth looking at for England v South Africa betting. Place a pre-match Top Batsman bet in a match, and if the captain of the side happens to end up as the top scorer instead, then Bet Victor will refund your single stake on the Top Batsman market with a free bet. The coverage on this promotion is up to £50, so well worth looking at, as there are plenty of great value options in the field. Online bookmaker Bet Victor offer a free £25 bet for new customers registering an account with them, as they will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet.

Can England build on their first ODI cricket success against Australia in the series? England edged home to a 15 run win in the first match, thanks to a quick smattering of points from Eoin Morgan, who banged in 89 runs from 63 balls. His perfectly timed attack took England to 272-5 for their innings, and thanks to a good spurt of wickets in the middle of the Australian innings, England did enough to hang to a confidence boosting victory. The confidence which they should have gained from that success at Lords, should really put them in good standing for the rest of the five match series. So with England ahead in the early stages of the series, what are the current England v Australia cricket betting odds looking like?
England are naturally favourites to win the series outright, trading at 4/9 with online bookmaker Bet365. Australia will need to strike back quickly, and if they can then they are trading at a price of 7/4 with Bet365 to take the series. There will be more value on offer looking at the England v Australia ODI Series Correct Score betting, where the favourite option is England 3-2, and a big optimistic England 4-1 coming in at 11/4, the same price as an Aussie 3-2 series win. Can England totally demolish Australia, using home advantage to the maximum? Well, if England manage to do a 5-0 series whitewash, then the price of 10/1 at Bet365 is looking attractive there. The two nations move on to the Oval for the second match of the series, where Australia are edging the match betting as favourites for that one at a price of 4/5, with England just back at Evens.
The extra bonus for England, if they were to win the series 5-0, is that they would overtake Australia at the number one ODI side in the world. Further still, if that happens, then England will hold the top ranking in all formats of international cricket, something no other nation has achieved before. England certainly looked the better batting side in the first test, with a very composed and flowing attack. Will the English seam bowlers be able to cause enough damage to take the series comfortably. No doubt there will be a sting in the tail of Australia at some point, but England have won their last six series on home turf and with their first win under their belt, could put on a show.
England v Australia ODI Cricket Series Odds at Online Bookmaker Bet365
England 4/9, Australia 7/4
Online bookmaker Bet365 offer a free £200 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The bookie will match the value of your first deposit n a new account with a free bet, up to the maximum value of £200.

While England are setting about restoring some pride in their ODI series against Pakistan, after getting whitewashed in the Test series, also coming up this week in cricket betting is the mouth watering ODI clash of Sri Lanka v Australia betting. Firstly, England have hit back after their Test embarrassment to take the first two ODI matches against Pakistan, and the revival has firmly been led by Alastair Cook and the surprise man to many, Ravi Bopara. There are two matches left in the series, on February 18th and 21st, before the two sides come together in a T20 three match series. If there were any doubts about Alastair Cook’s ability, then he has laid it all to rest with two great performances, leading from the front.
But some attention will have to be shifted to Sri Lanka v Australia ODI Cricket betting, because that should be an almighty clash in the Commonwealth Bank series. This is a three team contest, which started back at the beginning of February, with Australia, Sri Lanka and India battling for a place in the final. As things have gone so far, the top two could already be decided unless Sri Lanka come up with something big against Australia in the next match. Sri Lanka have yet to win a match after their three appearances so far, so if they are going to make up the seven point deficit between themselves and second placed Australia, then they are going to need to make something happen now. They threw away a big chance in their last match, where they were held to a draw by India, to get their first victory under their belt. As it was, it was two points in the bag, and it could be the start of a run at the finals.
Australia though, earned a tight victory over Sri Lanka on home turf back on February 120th, with the Aussies taking the match by five runs. But there is still time for Sri Lanka to mount a response, with four points for a victory, plus an extra one available for a bonus point. So even if Sri Lanka can pick up four points, then they will be hot on Australia’s heels in the race for the finals. There is also a T20 Series happening between New Zealand and South Africa, so there is plenty of Cricket betting around to enjoy at the moment.
For your cricket betting, online bookmaker Bet Victor run a great promotion, which applies to all Cricket matches listed on their website. Just head to Bet Victor and place a pre-match Top Batsman bet for the game, and if your bet happens to lose, but the Captain is the top scorer, then Bet Victor will pay out refunds on all losing Top Batsman bets. England suffered a crushing defeat in the first of three tests and now Pakistan v England cricket betting odds have taken a huge momentum shift. Can Andrew Strauss lead a fight back and prove their status as the best Test side in the world? England went down limply in a 10 wicked defeat, in which their batsmen failed to deliver. Getting bowled out for under two hundred in both innings, Andrew Strauss could only watch in dismay as his side fell apart in the second innings, apparently not learning anything from the first. England’s batsmen simply never adapted to the conditions and again showed huge weakness in facing quality spin bowling. Off spinner Saeed Ajmal with his 7-55 in the first innings really led the charge for Pakistan in Dubai left England reeling, and now they muster a response. Andrew Strauss insists that England won’t panic after that defeat in the batting ranks. It certainly won’t be a great change of personnel for the second test, but the batsmen who have proved themselves so well over the past couple of years just need to pay more attention and focus on what they are doing. Surprisingly the England bowlers did a pretty good job of putting the squeeze on Pakistan when they were under pressure, so the entire focus is on the batting, especially after putting in a sixth batsmen as they played two spinners. Can England pull out back to back wins over Pakistan? Well, naturally there is a pretty great price on them, 7/1 with SportingBet in fact to pull out a series win. Pakistan are in the driving seat at 8/15 with SportingBet to take the series, while a draw secures odds of 3/1 at Bet Victor.
Online bookmaker Bet Victor have a good Top Batsman Special running for Pakistan v England cricket betting. If you place a pre match Top Batsman Bet for the second test, if your selection fails to top score, but his captain does knock off the highest total, then Bet Victor will refund your lost stake a free bet, with coverage on the Money Back Special up to £50. Online bookmaker Bet Victor, which has just under gone it’s re-branding launch, offers a free £25 bet for new customers registering an account. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account, up to the maximum value of £25 with a free bet.

England take on Pakistan in a Test Match series and you can enhance your cricket betting options with a couple of good promotions which are around at the moment. England have received a boost with the news that some of their injury concerns have been lifted, with Stuart Broad and Ian Bell both getting the green light for action. England may well go with a couple of spinners to try and take the bold approach to making things happen on the slow and lifeless tracks which are forecast, and that puts Monty Panesar, who has been impressive in the warm up to the Test Series, fully in contention to get back in the Test side for the first time since 2009. Pakistan’s conduct in the Test Series is as much on the line as their cricketing reputations. Pakistan have been at the centre of the cricket spot-fixing scandal of course, against England back in 2010. It resulted in Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif all being thrown in prison, and now the Pakistan cricket authorities are talking of zero tolerance policy and a positive change coming from them. This Test series, which is being played out in the United Arab Emirates is a change for them to be positive about their image for the future. Hopefully the past actions of the few won’t throw too much of a negative on this Test Series, and after coming in on the back of trips to Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, Pakistan were praised for their conduct. But naturally there is going to be more spice against England, one of the best Test sides in the world. England sound pretty focus, with captain Andrew Strauss saying that there is not going to be any distractions, and that they are going to be competitively aggressive. Good to hear and here is hoping that a good contest is to follow. If you are looking for some Pakistan v England cricket betting options, then here are some good promotions offering some insurance on your betting.
Online bookmaker BetFred are running a Batsmen Bonus for cricket betting. If Imran Far hut (from Pakistan) or Ian Bell (England) finish as top scorer for their respective sides, then popular online bookmaker BetFred will generously refund any losing bets placed on their side’s top batsmen markets. So a nice bit of coverage from BetFred on the market, and what are we looking at in there as way of prices? Top England batsmen has Andrew Strauss and Kevin Pietersen at 9/2 for example, while on the Pakistan side Younis Khan can be taken at 3/1. Online bookmaker BetFred offer a free £50 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The bookie will match the first bet on a new account (of £5 or greater) with a free bet up to the maximum value of £50. So a great way to get started with some free betting cash on your new BetFred Account.
Ladbrokes are also running a batsman promotion for their Pakistan v England cricket betting coverage. The popular bookie are going with Andrew Strauss as their target man in this promotion, and if the England captain is the top scorer for his country during their first innings, then Ladbrokes will refund any losing First Test match bets. Ladbrokes offer new customers registering an account the chance to get up to £50 in free bets on their new account. Victor Chandler offer a free £25 bet for new customers who register a new account for their services. A free bet up to the maximum value of £25 will be paid out in a matched first bet welcome bonus, where the bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new VC Bet account.
