PRESENTING PETE came racing out of the blocks quickly this season, banking a win on his first two efforts.
Those were wins in Southwell handicaps.
On his hattrick bid at Worcester on a 20f trip a week ago, Presenting Pete went off a little too quickly.
He finished third in that, but overall he still looked in pretty sharp form in the race.
FINISK RIVER is another that has been in good form recently, really heading back in the right direction.
He scored at Bangor last month with a fairly clean round. That victory sandwiched two runners-up finishes.
The latest of those was at Perth 11 days ago and Finisk River is down 4lb from that run.
IMPERIAL ELYSIAN was a faller on his return to action after a very long break. That return was at Worcester 41 days ago.
Before the tumble, Imperial Elysian wasn’t shaping too badly at all. There is a chance that he could be better for the effort.

LOST IN MONTMARTRE after getting some air in her lungs on a return to hurdling action last month.
That was at Bangor and she stepped out in midweek on her last winning mark on the switch to chasing.
She could pose a threat in this one and the quicker conditions could be in her favour as well.
CAWTHORNE is thriving this season after rattling off a hattrick from his three appearances since his return.
Two of those wins were over the fences before completing their hattrick with a score over the hurdles at Market Rasen three weeks ago.
TONTO’S SPIRIT will likely get involved and try to push the pace along quickly in his favour.
He has been in solid form but hasn’t won for a while. He was last seen having a spin on the flat at Carlisle three weeks ago.
Tonto’s Spirit could be boosted by a drop in class for this one. He’s also a five-time winner over the fences.

EAST END GIRL took a comfortable victory at Newcastle three weeks ago. That was in a handicap at Newcastle.
She comes up 3lb for that one. But if she is in a similar kind of form on Wednesday, then that may not slow her up.
QOYA is still a maiden but may not be too far away in this one. She was third behind race winner East End Girl in a Newcastle handicap last time out.
That was the most promising run of the season by her. She has a chance of getting back in the picture again with progress.
WHIMSY can’t be ignored as she is another that is on the up at the moment and will be seeking a hattrick on Wednesday.
Those two wins were banked at Salisbury and was in rich form two weeks ago in a handicap. Whimsy’s shortlisted material for racing tips.

WANDERING ROCKS looks as if he has a lot more potential to bring to the table. He got off the market last time out.
That was with a good performance in a minor event at Doncaster 25 days ago. Wandering Rocks should be a big player on his handicap debut.
SEA THE CASPER has been thriving this season, opening with victories at Chepstow and Redcar.
On a move to handicapping at Ascot, he produced a very credible third-place finish. He’s been recharged for 47 days and should be in it.
ASAASSI is the other that gets firmly on the shortlist for this one, as he is looking for a little revival.
He went to Goodwood 27 days ago on a hattrick. Asaassi was hampered in the contest and finished down the field. He’s best just on the previous form, however.

MANJAAM rediscovered a nice bit of form, so is under consideration in this handicap test on Wednesday.
Manjaam is still well treated at the moment. He carries a 3lb claimer which could help his bid and the 9-year-old could have a fair crack at this.
TWO AULD PALS is another that makes it onto the shortlist as he looks to tackle a longer trip here.
He has been showing signs of getting his game together. On his latest effort, he was third at Hamilton at 13f. There could be a big run in him.
WISE EAGLE could also be in the frame as he drops in grade in search of a revival.
Wise Eagle has won before at Musselburgh and has a good strike record on the flat. He comes up on a trip, but this is calmer waters.

14:30 Catterick Handicap Horse Racing Tip

OSO RAPIDO is 1lb above his last winning mark, which was back in July and he could have a shot on Wednesday.
His follow-ups in two efforts since that win haven’t been of the same quality.
But the course and distance win, and taking a drop in trip for recent efforts, puts Oso Rapido in the frame.
DARK SHOT is worth a look as well as he makes the switch back to the turf in midweek.
Last year Dark Shot took a couple of course and distance wins. On his penultimate run, Dark Shot took a good place finish at Goodwood. A good draw helps him.
VINTAGE CLARETS has not had a season where things have gone particularly smoothly for him.
But he is down in class, with the assessor shaving off more.
Vintage Clarets also has a 5lb claimer in midweek, especially having been recharged for a couple of months.
